00:00The government is continually addressing poverty in the Philippines.

00:04According to National Anti-Poverty Commission lead convener Secretary López-Santos III,

00:09the government just conducted poverty reduction summits,

00:12wherein more than 800 participated from various agencies, private sectors, civil society and international organizations.

00:19This in line with the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcus Jr. to reduce the country's poverty rate to single digits.

00:26The government is committed to meet all the needs of every Filipino,

00:30especially in terms of education, employment, housing, food security and health care.
