At a White House Faith Office luncheon on Monday, President Trump discussed trans athletes participating in sports.

00:03Do you ever take a look at some of these records?

00:05There was a long-distance race, a marathon,

00:09where they had a great female runner, a number of them,

00:12but they had one in particular.

00:14And they had just an average male runner who had transitioned.

00:19He won the race at the end of the day by five hours and 14 minutes.

00:24They waited for five hours.

00:27The weightlifting records are better, though.

00:30The weightlifting records are better, you know,

00:32the way they took a record that hasn't been broken for 18 years.

00:39And, you know, they'd add a quarter of an ounce on each side of the barbell.

00:43And they'd just, a little tiny piece of stuff.

00:47She'd go up and she couldn't get it up.

00:50And this guy comes along.

00:51Have you lifted before?

00:53Yes, at a low level.

00:54He was a low-level lifter as a man.

00:56But transitioned.

00:57And he goes up to that thing.

01:06Broke the record by 119 pounds.

01:09The whole thing is crazy.

01:13The swimming records are pretty good, too.

01:15You got to see that.

01:15I told the story.

01:16You had this great group of young ladies.

01:19And they grew up with each other because, you know,

01:20they sort of swam at the top level.

01:23And they were swimming.

01:24And one girl was seriously injured.

01:28She looked left and she saw the same girl she grew up with, Kelly, in California.

01:34You know, at a young age, they sort of rise to the top.

01:37She looked to the right.

01:38She saw the same girls.

01:39But there was this giant standing right next to her.

01:42And he had transitioned.

01:43You probably heard this.

01:44He had transitioned.

01:46And she was never seen her before.

01:49And when the race was started, he blew by her so fast that she suffered massive windburn.

02:07And he got out of the race and he went and had a little lunch.

02:10And then he came back and watched the rest of the young ladies finish up.
