Speaking to reporters in the Oval Office on Monday, President Trump was asked about U.S. ammunition stockpiles in light of weapons shipments to Ukraine.
Transcript
00:00President, is there any concern about the U.S. stockpiles?
00:04There was a pause in delivery of weaponry to Ukraine
00:08in order to evaluate, apparently, the U.S. stockpiles.
00:12What came out of that?
00:13Evaluation. I mean, this was a very big...
00:16What we're talking about today is a very, very big day.
00:21And what Pete was doing, and me too, I know what Pete was doing,
00:25was evaluation, because we knew this was going to happen.
00:28And now we actually announced it.
00:31They voted on it. It's all been done.
00:34So, obviously, that has a big impact on, you know, when you say pause.
00:38Obviously, you're not going to be doing things
00:40if you don't know what's going to happen here.
00:42But we were pretty sure this was going to happen,
00:44so we did a little bit of a pause.
00:46But this is a very big event today.
00:49This is something great.
