00:01Hello, yes, an investigation has been launched into Sunday's plane crash at London Southend Airport,
00:09with recent news coming in that there have been four casualties.
00:14The Beechcraft B-200 aircraft crashed at around 4pm soon after taking off from the airport in Essex.
00:22The plane was seen in flames with dark smoke billowing from it, according to witnesses and on photos and videos circulating on social media.
00:33The airport has been closed until further notice, with dozens of flights cancelled as the Air Accidents Investigation Branch confirmed it had started an inquiry into the crash.
00:45A spokesman said a multidisciplinary team, including inspectors with expertise in aircraft operations, human factors, engineering and recorded data,
01:00arrived at the accident site on the afternoon of the crash. Inquiries are still ongoing.
01:08A statement from Essex Police said that they were alerted shortly before 4pm to reports of a collision involving one 12-metre plane.
01:18Essex Country Fire and Rescue Service said four crews, along with off-road vehicles, attended the incident.
01:27The aircraft, operated by Zouche Aviation, was equipped with medical systems for transporting patients.
01:35The Dutch company specialises in medical evacuations and transplant flights and also runs private charters as well.
