00:06to match with those from living kin has finally begun as per orders from the nation's top cop,

00:13the alleged human remains or mysterious-looking charred substances arrived in PNP headquarters earlier today.

00:22Some bones recovered by the technical diving team in Taal Lake in search of the remains of the missing sabongeros

00:28have reached Camp Krame.

00:30According to PNP Chief, Police General Nicolás Torre III,

00:33the process will now begin to determine whether the bones retrieved from Taal Lake are human or animal remains.

01:06The PNP has also extracted DNA from relatives of the missing sabongeros.

01:11This will undergo cross-matching to determine if the recovered bones truly belong to the missing individuals.

01:50Fajardo explained that if a match is found, it will be considered a major breakthrough

01:55in the case of the missing sabongeros.

01:57The PNP also said they are open to receiving additional DNA samples from other relatives of the victims.

02:03The PNP also expressed support for the plan of the alleged whistleblower known as Ilias Totoy

02:08to go to the NAPOLCOM and formally file charges against the police officers

02:12allegedly involved in the case of the missing sabongeros.

02:16Meanwhile, the PNP clarified that among the 15 police officers allegedly involved in the case,

02:21only 12 are still under their custody given the fact the other three have already been removed from the service.
