New Delhi, July 14, 2025 (ANI): Shama Mohamed, senior Congress leader, strongly criticized the Election Commission over its revision of electoral rolls in Bihar, particularly regarding allegations that Rohingyas and Bangladeshis were included. She referenced a Supreme Court ruling, which states that the Home Ministry is the authority on determining citizenship, not the EC.

00:00Who are these sources revealing it? Why doesn't the Election Commission of India hold a press
00:05conference and come out clear about all these Bangladeshis, Rohingyas and various others who
00:11they say will be in the voter list of Bihar? So they say that they will be excluded and we hear
00:18sources. So they should do a press conference on it. And let's also understand that the Supreme
00:24Court clearly says that EC has no right to decide on the citizenship of Indians in India.
00:31It is the right of the Home Ministry. And also last year, the NDA won 30 seats in the Lok Sabha.
00:38So that all becomes null and void because if they keep saying that there are these Rohingyas,
00:44people from Bangladesh, you know, so let the EC hold a press conference and come out clear on
00:50all these issues. We do not want to hear sources. We want to hear the truth.
