00:00Pag-ahanda sa nalalapit na World Skills ASEAN 2025,
00:04ating pag-uusapan kasama si na Undersecretary Nelly Dillera,
00:08Deputy Director General for Tivet Partnership and Community-Based Tivet ng TESDA,
00:13Rafael Luis S. Llave ng MFI Polytechnic Institute,
00:17at si J.A. Ann Rose B. Dono ng Southern Institute of Maritime Studies.
00:26Magandang tanghali. Thank you for having us.
00:44Thank you.
00:54We actually have 32 competitors from the Philippines.
00:58Pero mayroon po tayong understudy.
01:00Kaya po, 80. 80 yung sinasanay ngayon.
01:04So, yun. Talagang nagpe-prepare tayo because kung sinasabi natin may Olympics sa sports,
01:54And of course, gusto natin ipakita na yung skills na naso-showcase natin during this competition
02:00ay talagang nagagamit.
02:02Yun yun.
02:36ano ba itong World Skills ASEAN 2025, Rafael?
02:40Yes. So, in terms of training po, currently we're residing within TESDA grounds.
02:45We're undergoing intense training.
02:48So, ang schedule namin from morning to evening, around 5.30 a.m. up to 8 p.m.
02:53ang schedule namin for training.
02:555.30 a.m. up to 8 p.m.? Wow. Okay.
03:03kundi pati yung mental, physical, and emotional states namin dapat na condition
03:08pagka humarap kami sa competition this coming August.
03:11And then, in terms naman sa skills na ipapamalas sa skill area ko naman ay
03:16IT networks, systems administration.
03:29na meron tayo ngayon. At kaya natin mag-adapt and kaya natin mag-grow
03:405.30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
03:41I know, right?
03:42That's more than 12 hours of training. Intense talaga.
03:44Pero yung sa IT network, sa aspect ng IT network, Rafael,
03:48ano yung pinaka-challenging sa inyo bilang isang competitor
03:50at paano nyo ito na-overcome o hinarap?
03:53Yes. So, sa skill area kasi namin,
04:04so, sinaset up namin yun from ground up.
04:41yung mga IT talents natin sa world stage?
04:44Yes. So, in terms of standards,
04:46the WorldSkills Philippines adheres to the WorldSkills standards na ini-implement globally.
04:53So, yung training namin naka-adhere doon,
04:55yung mga resources na kinukuha namin is high quality,
04:57and yung mga learning and technical knowledge na kinukuha namin is up to standard,
05:03and in-apply sa mga current industries and practices.
05:06Mm-hmm.
05:22Representing the Philippines through TESDA and Southern Institute of Maritime Study,
05:27we'll be participating for the collaborative robot or the COBOT system integration.
05:33Robot systems?
05:34Yes, COBOT system integration.
05:35That is the first ever entry of the Philippines in the ASEAN WorldSkills.
05:40So, in collaborative robot po, we are applying the installation,
05:47the programming, and connection po ng mga collaborative robots into larger automated systems po.
05:56In that way po, every COBOT po could be used safely alongside with humans.
06:07ano ba yung ibig sabihin pag sinabing COBOT systems integration,
06:21So, ang COBOT system integration po is the application of programming,
06:26installing, and connecting a larger or enlarging automation system.
06:34So, ang pinapromote po nito is yung safely application or interaction po or collaboration po ng human being with DIC robot.
06:45So, unlike po or compare po to the other traditional robot po na kailangan po natin na ilagay within the safety barriers,
06:54si COBOT po, we can safely interact with them and we can have, we have this specialized or this smart programming that we could apply
07:08and we could also make sure that the application is safe and also consistent for the quality.
07:18Medyo na curious na ako, Jaya, are we gonna be using as well artificial intelligence dito sa kailangan?
07:22Hindi ka, but no.
07:24Ah, okay.
07:24No, po. No.
07:26Okay.
Asa yan?
07:40Of course po, unang-una, computer programming is number one.
07:44Also, robotics, electrical, and electronics.
07:49Um, those are the components po talaga and parts in applying in the COBOT.
08:14Yusek.
08:15Um, okay. Um, it's actually, di ba, parang inspiring, not only inspiring, kundi talagang challenge, hindi rin lang din challenge.
08:23But this is actually an opportunity for the Philippines to really showcase yung technical and vocational education sa Philippines.
08:30So, we're making use of, ito, lahat ng mga ginagawa natin dito na talagang ma-promote natin yung ating lugar, ano.
08:37So, we hope na yung mga institutions, kasi nationwide, meron tayong mga nakuhang participants and competitors,
08:44they can also upgrade and level up yung mga tinuturo nila sa kanya-kanya nilang institution.
08:49Kasi nga sabi natin, di ba, if we're participating in any constitution, competition, ang una sa mga tinitingnan talaga natin dito yung criteria.
09:04We try to align in terms of, you know, contents, in terms of equipment that are used.
09:13So, natutulungan, hindi lang yung institution, kundi pati yung mga tao that does the training.
09:19And of course, yung mga learners who will eventually make use of what they've learned from a TESDA institution doon sa mga papasokan nilang enterprise.
09:39Okay, yung TESDA-accredited centers natin are actually the areas where some of our competitors are also doing their training.
09:49Itong magandang opportunity ito, ano?
09:50Kasi may mga partners tayo.
09:53I think we already entered into an MOU with 28 to 30 partners.
09:59Yung mga partners natin, sila yung, yun yung mga enterprises.
10:02They provide the equipment.
10:04They provide the facilities.
10:05They even provide, sometimes, yung mga experts.
10:08So, in so doing, kung ginawa yan sa isang training institution, I think yung training institution would also have the opportunity to also check and see ano bang ginagawa mismo sa enterprise.
10:19Ano bang ginagawa ng ating mga experts and mga trainees para nga ma-elevate or ma-prepare yung ating mga competitors.
10:27And I think in that way, sila mismo, we're also opening their eyes to also elevate and improve whatever standard that they have right now para rin ma-develop nga yung kanilang institution.
10:39And isa pa dito, we have always been saying sa TESDA na we're always industry-guided or industry-based.
10:47Kasi pag tinuturo natin yan sa institutions, sa mga TESDA institutions, we make sure na yung training regulation, yung competency standards, kinonsulta muna natin yung mga enterprises, yung mga nasa industries.
11:00Dahil, after all, pag nag-graduate sa TESDA or academic institution, yung ating mga learners gaya nila, ang gagamit talaga ng skills nila yung mga enterprises.
11:10So, I think the best way is really engage no less than the enterprises or industries in whatever we do.
11:16Okay.
11:36So, ayun. In our country sa Philippines, there are many here.
11:41In fact, they've been my classmates, they've been peers of mine na they have potential and they have the skill.
11:46to compete worldwide.
11:48And in fact, I already know many professionals that are employees for large international companies.
11:56So, we're already competing.
11:57But it is also true na yung IT industry is very innovative, very dynamic, and very adaptive.
12:04So, pabago-bago siya.
12:05Yung mga standards niya, pabago-bago.
12:08And kailangan matuto tayong makapag-adapt, kailangan makapag-grow tayo alongside the industry.
12:13And I think we do have the skill and capability to compete there.
12:17But also, yung support and system na meron tayo ngayon is, it could be to give access to the information and yung mga skills na pwede mong ibahagi sa mga taong may passionate and skillful sa mga skill areas na meron tayo.
12:34So, dun, dun tayong makakatulong.
12:36Ibigay sa kanila yung access to information and to help them develop their skill and to compete internationally.
13:00As a competitor of cobots system integration, number one po na kailangan nating skills is analytical skills.
13:06We have to know and understand what we're doing so that alam po natin yung magiging flow ng buong system.
13:14And we should be detailed-oriented kasi po yung mga maliliit na simple, maliliit, a simple bagay lang na baka magkamali tayo is magkaroon ng malaking epekto or maging malaking issue dun sa application natin.
13:26Kailangan din po natin ng pasensya, ng hard work, and also ng, lagi po tayo maging curious and explore what we're doing.
13:53So, sa lahat ng mga nanonood po, lalo yung kabataan, I implore you and encourage you to, kung alam niyo meron kayong skills and you're passionate about what you do,
14:06to participate in the WorldSkills Philippines and the TESTA organization are ready to welcome you to further develop your skill.
14:16And, pagpatuli niyo lang and for a message, thank you kay Secretary Kiko Benitez and kay Deputy Director General Nelly Lillera
14:45Jeanne?
14:47Message ko naman po sa mga kabataan na may mga skills na hindi lang po natin ma-showcase dahil we don't have the platform.
14:57Nandito po yung TESTA to help us to showcase what we can do to enhance it, to improve it.
15:23HITECH Power Incorporated, to our team leaders, Sir Kenneth Lombos and Sir Julian Santuyo,
15:31to our DDGs, especially DDG Nelly Delaria, thank you so much po.
15:55To our co-competitors, let's always work hard, let's do our best, and God will do the rest.
16:02Sa basta-sama-sama tayo at sa buong suporta ng TESTA, Pilipinas, kayang-kaya.
16:08Yeah.
16:23They're only 20, 21 years old.
16:34pwedeng gamitin agad.
16:35Yun ang palagi namin sinasabi eh.
16:37You don't have to complete, siyempre, yung 4 years ba yan or 5 years bachelor's degree.
16:42But even 6 months, 1 year, 2 years, you can already get yourself a job.
16:47Okay, but if you want to level up pa, siyempre, ipunin lang natin yung mga skills na makukuha natin from TESTA
16:53and eventually, mararating natin yung bachelor's degree.
17:10Sa mga training institutions pa natin, even academic institutions,
17:24And of course, sa mga companies and enterprises, I think this is also, you know, an opportunity for you to see
17:39So again, Sek Kiko, thank you very much for the support.
17:43And of course, PTV, maraming maraming salamat for this opportunity to also promote and push forward
17:50yung pong ating technical and vocational education.
17:53Alright, maraming maraming salamat po sa inyong oras.
17:57Undersecretary Nelly Diliera, Deputy Director General for TVET Partnership and Community Base,
18:02TVET ng TESDA, Rafael Luis S. Diaven ng MFI Polytechnic Institute
18:06at si J.A. Ann Rose B. Dono ng Southern Institute of Maritime Studies sa Manila.
18:13At this meeting, tap.
