During the trailer launch of her much-awaited film Dhadak 2, National Crush Triptii Dimri opened up about how her character’s courage inspired her personally. She revealed that the bravery shown by her role isn’t something she has in real life but it’s a quality she now takes away from the film. Triptii also praised director Shazia Iqbal for her bold and daring attempt to bring such a powerful story to life. #dhadak2 #triptiidimri #siddhantchaturvedi

00:00Kripti, this one's for you. Thank you so much for being a part of this film.
00:03I will say this from every cinema.
00:05Tell me, in your career, you've worked with some critically acclaimed filmmakers.
00:10Some of the stories of Kamal have become a big part of this film.
00:12When you came with these collaborators, of course, Z-Studios, Dharmas, Cloud9,
00:18and all of this is a big part of this film, what would you like to say about this film?
00:21I would like to say that I am very, very proud of this film.
00:27And I'm very happy that I'm a part of this film and that I'm working with such people
00:32because the first day, the day I received the narration, and the day I just got happy vibes
00:39about the film, about everything.
00:41Shazia was talking about us, but she's not a better director going.
00:45Because she's just given us so much freedom as actors.
00:49You know, especially serious scenes, you go through a lot.
00:54But she's just been there, quietly, not trying to make us, you know,
01:00that you don't force anything for anyone, that you go through this emotion, this way.
01:05She was just always smiling, always holding our hands.
01:09And I think that she's the best director.
01:13And that's why we can do whatever we can do.
01:15I love you.
01:15I love you too.
01:16But with Dharma Productions, it's my second picture, and I'm really proud of this one.
01:23Thank you so much, sir.
01:24You want to know, intense love story, but it's a small town character, which is Baliyagasadhan.
01:31And for you, because we have not lived that lifestyle, how much responsibility are you for this?
01:34How much responsibility are you for this, and how many tough challenges are you for this?
01:39There's a lot of responsibility when you get to a certain character, I think it's the most important thing to do with honesty.
01:49And I think that's what we aim to do.
01:51And our director, Shazi Aqbal, has helped us to achieve that.
01:56And I think that was very, very important, but responsibility is a very important thing when you are in this way and in this way,
02:25and in this way, I'm having a role in this way in this way.
02:29Hi, Tripti.
02:30Towards your…
02:32Hi.
02:33This side.
02:34Hi.
02:35Hi, Amrita.
02:36Hi.
02:37So, you know, you said that I have done a lot of urban films, or the characters that you've played.
02:41But, you know, I'm going back to a couple of years, a couple of years back, where I saw you play a character.
02:47There was, in a web series, if I can name it, it was Inside Edge, where you played Prashad Kanagia.
02:52And there was a similar, you know, theme there.
02:57And again, I connected back a lot to the character in the storytelling.
03:01My question to the two of you is that while we are all living in urban spaces, when, as actors, you work in a movie,
03:08and you have gone through the process of, you know, essaying these characters, you take away something with the two of you.
03:15What were the two things that the two of you took away from the film, and from your characters, that is going to stay with you forever?
03:24I think, for me, it's the courage that my character has.
03:29I don't think I have that kind of courage.
03:31And I remember having this conversation with Shazia, first day of the, when she narrated the film to me.
03:40And I told her that, you know, she's a very, very fearless person.
03:44She's someone who speaks her truth, even when it's difficult.
03:47And I don't think I have that as Tripti.
03:50And I told her that I wish to learn this from her.
03:53And I'm glad that I did.
03:54I did learn it from Vidhi.
03:56Because when I finished the film, I could see a change in me.
03:59And she could see a change in me, hopefully.
04:02What do you place, Dharag Tu, on your filmography?
04:04I think this is a film that I'm very proud of.
04:06I've said it before.
04:07As an actor, when I started my acting career,
04:11there were some of the films that I wanted to do,
04:14and there were a lot of films that I did too.
04:17But this film is very special.
04:22It was quite challenging to play with Vidhi.
04:26And I always wanted to play characters
04:30that, you know, as an actor,
04:32challenge me a little bit,
04:33so that they're making fun with acting.
04:35And I think that it was definitely in this film.
04:38And when you watch the film,
04:39you'll know why we are so proud of it.
04:42It's just something very, very special.
04:44My question is to Tripti.
04:46Tripti, it seems like you strike a balance
04:48between commercial films and meaningful roles.
04:51Is that a conscious decision?
04:53What do you think?
04:54I don't think that I'll do a commercial film and meaningful.
04:58I think for me, films are films.
05:00Every story is important.
05:01Every character is important.
05:03And I'm just trying to experiment with myself.
05:08And I'm just trying to make a difference
05:10because I think as an actor,
05:12I get to learn from that.
05:14So that's the only thing.
05:16I don't categorize them in the mainstream
05:19and commercial cinema.
05:21Thank you so much.
05:22Thank you so much.
05:23Thank you so much.
