00:47All right, let's talk about the doubleheader coming your way.
00:51Ring three from the Louis Armstrong Stadium.
00:53The first time there's ever been a fight inside that tennis arena.
00:57The main event, two of them.
00:59We'll start with Zepeda versus Shakur Stevenson.
01:03He's had hand issues.
01:05He's gotten a lot of criticism from running from opponents.
01:07He seems to have really taken that to heart, and he promises to put on a brilliant display
01:12against the Mexican.
01:13Do you believe him?
01:14I believe him.
01:15I think Shakur Stevenson has been waiting for an opportunity like this for several years now.
01:21He is a former Olympic silver medalist.
01:23He's a three-division world champion, but he's yet to have that one dance partner that
01:28can bring out the greatness that may be inside of him.
01:31I think William Zepeda is that guy.
01:33The best offensive fighter in all of boxing is William Zepeda.
01:36The best defensive fighter in all of boxing is Shakur Stevenson.
01:40It is the unstoppable force against the immovable object.
01:44I think this is going to be a fantastic fight.
01:46I feel physics, but I know that this man throws a thousand punches around, and it's hard to
01:49stop that.
01:50A fight.
01:51I'm sorry, a hundred punches around a thousand in a fight, and whenever you have that much
01:54volume, whenever you have that much aggression, even if you're not a power puncher, that natural
01:59aggression is going to turn you into a power puncher if you're Shakur Stevenson.
02:02Even if you have brittle hands, when you have someone so aggressive, an immovable object,
02:07even half a shot does damage, so this is the type of fight, and everyone thinks I'm crazy,
02:11where Stevenson can actually get a stoppage, because when you have someone that, you know,
02:15volume puncher coming at you, throwing aggression, caution to the wind, that's going to be the
02:19only way William Zepeda is able to win this fight, so his head's going to be in your chest,
02:24and we're dealing with one of the sharpest, most accurate punchers in Stevenson.
02:28And you mentioned physics.
02:29When someone throws that many punches, your hands are out here.
02:31They're not defending your face, and there will be openings for Shakur.
02:34Sure. I don't think it's crazy at all, Sergio, to think that a knockout could be in the offing.
02:38Like, the criticism of Shakur Stevenson, I get some of it. Like, he's had some stinkers
02:43in recent fights. The Edwin Del Santos fight was a stinker. He's had some bad fights,
02:49but he's also had some really good fights. I mean, nobody can watch the fight against
02:52Jamel Herring and say that wasn't a good fight. No one can watch the win over Oscar Valdez and say
02:58that wasn't a good fight. But William Zepeda, one of the weaknesses I think he has is that he comes
03:02straight ahead. He is a straight line guy. He's not a cut the ring off guy. He is coming at you
03:06full speed straight ahead. Shakur Stevenson is smart enough and skilled enough that I think he's going
03:11to find ways to take advantage of that and maybe even score that knockout. If Shakur starts touching
03:15the body early, because that's going to be the key, especially early in this fight, to try to take
03:19a little bit of the steam of Zepeda. If Shakur can start aiming at the body, even if they're jabs
03:24with straight left hands, you know this kid's going to have a game plan, and I'm really going to like
03:27the stoppage late. All right, so that's the preview for the first of the two double header main events.
03:32The second one will be Hamza Shiraz facing off against Edgar Berlanga, but there's been a lot
03:37of talk, a lot of bad blood between these two as Wade Plemons found out firsthand. Hansi says you're a
03:42runner, so you like to run around the ring a lot. What's your response there? I don't think I'm known
03:47for running around the ring. Otherwise, I wouldn't have had however many knockouts I've had.
03:55He got Andy Lee. He got Andy Lee in his corner. I already know the game plan. I already know the

06:39I think Hamza Shearra is going to be a difficult guy to knockout because he's big, he's long, he's skilled, and he has an excellent jab.
06:46It's not going to be an easy fight.
06:48But Edgar Berlanga needs a win as much as any high-level boxer in the sport needs a win.
06:54Because right now, Edgar Berlanga has been riding a 12-round decision loss to Canelo Alvarez.
07:00Before that, his best wins were against guys like Padraic McCrory and Jason Quigley.
07:05This guy needs a significant win.
07:07Hamza Shearra is right there.
07:08Still undefeated.
07:09Was one of the top guys at 160.
07:12Didn't look great in his last fight, but still a very marketable opponent for Edgar Berlanga.
07:17He needs to come up with a win on Saturday night.
07:19You need the big win, especially here in his hometown, in New York.
07:22You know, it could always go against him.
07:24But I love the fact that Berlanga did all that trash talking, that he was promoting the fight.
07:27You may not like it, but me and Todd were looking at each other and smiling.
07:31Yes, it's childish at times.
07:32But whenever you're talking to a golden boy and Oscar del Hoyo like that, you're talking to one of the biggest promoters in boxing.
07:38So you're going to get attention.
07:39You're going to get, you know, clicks on Twitter and social media.
07:41Yeah, but about what?
07:43And that's how you become, you know, a little bit more popular.

07:47Going at a guy that you're not even fighting who has been retired for a decade, that's not.
07:52To me, I wanted to see more between Hamza Shiraz and Edgar Berlanga.
07:55I wanted to see more between them.
07:57I think Edgar's done a pretty good job of getting under the skin of Hamza Shiraz over the last few weeks.
08:01Like teasing him with the Canelo thing.
08:03You're Turkey's boy.

08:06I think he's done a nice job getting under Shiraz's skin.
08:08I want to see more from Edgar and Hamza and less from Edgar and Oscar.

08:14I want to hear some predictions, guys.
08:16Let's start with the Zepeda fight versus Shakur.
08:18Who you got?
08:19I got Stevenson with a late-round stoppage in that one.
08:21I know it sounds crazy, but I think this kid could really pick him apart.
08:25I'm taking Shakur Stevenson by decision.
08:27I think the biggest factor in this is do the hands of Shakur Stevenson hold up.
08:31He has been battling hand issues for the better part of the last seven years.
08:35He had a fight canceled because he had surgery.
08:38In his last two fights, he dealt with significant hand issues,
08:41and he's coming back after a relatively short turnaround time.
08:44Just fought this past February against Josh Padley.
08:47Can they hold up over 12 rounds against one of the best offensive fighters of the sport?
08:52All right.
08:52And then finally, Edgar Berlanga, Hamza Shiraz.
08:55Keith Connelly, who doesn't speak much.
08:56He's the manager for Edgar Berlanga.
08:57He's promising a Berlanga knockout.
08:59If you believe him.

09:01I think if there's an upset of the night, it's going to be Shiraz.
09:03If he can last all the way to the distance,
09:05I could see him putting early rounds in the bank and even pulling off a decision.
09:09But that chin is going to be questionable.
09:10How is he going to take that power?
09:11If he takes that power, Berlanga's in trouble.
09:14It's a tough one.
09:15To me, that's a coin flip type of fight.
09:18And look, again, like I talked about Shakur and what version of him do we get.
09:21What version of Hamza Shiraz do we get?
09:23Do we get the guy that mowed down Ammo Williams in his biggest winner, 160?
09:27Or do we get the guy that was really tentative against Carlos Adamas in his last fight?
09:33I think it's more the latter than the former.
09:35I think Edgar Berlanga catches him, and I think he stops him midway through the fight.
