Haridwar (Uttrakhand), July 11, 2025: Uttarakhand’s DGP, Deepam Seth, assured that the state police have made tight security arrangements as the Kanwar Yatra commenced on July 11, marking the first day of the Hindu holy month of Sawan. Talking to ANI on the same, the DGP said "... The entire police team prayed today that the Kanwar Yatra would conclude successfully... We are also in contact with all the neighbouring states... Around 7000 police personnel have been deployed. There is constant monitoring with drones and CCTVs. We are in constant touch with neighboring states' control rooms... If anyone creates any obstacle in the yatra, then police will take strict action..."
