00:00Have a day, Soderstrom, that would be Tyler Soderstrom of the Athletics yesterday in the
00:06opening frame against the Atlanta Braves, three run shot against Spencer Strider, the
00:12A's took a three nothing lead, but Atlanta did rally to plate four, so by the time we
00:18got to the eighth, the Braves were in front by a run for three, enter Nick Kurtz for
00:25the Athletics, a solo home run to tie things up in the eighth, and as we went to extras,
00:32enter back into the fold, Tyler Soderstrom, the walk-off RBI single to win it for the A's,
00:39they take the rubber match in 11 innings, five to four against the Atlanta Braves to win
00:44the series in Sacramento, the Braves DRS, 12 games below 500 again, 40 and 52.
00:52And by the way, also Braves pitching yesterday, Spencer Strider, six and two thirds innings
00:55pitch, he's finally getting stretched out as well, 11 strikeouts, but doesn't factor
00:59into the game because the bullpen does not do its job, but, you know, three run home run
01:04early in the game, that's just a tough scene.
01:05By the way, can you imagine, Ben, like having a little fun here in college football, which
01:09we're going to talk today, like our guy Nick Kurtz here, what would happen here if you played
01:13at Eastern Michigan, you know what I mean, the wild rosters out here.
01:19Kurtz and a man named Noah.
01:21The dude is good too.
01:23And the dude is, I mean, the dude is, which again, contemplates where we have a little,
01:27you know, wordplay fun here where you slow some things down just to make sure like everything
01:31goes according to plan.
01:32But that kid is a player, man.
01:34He really is.
01:35Like, how is he?
01:36There's no doubt about it.
01:36Why isn't he the rookie of the year though?
01:39Like we, we talk like Cam Smith, like it is this guy.
01:42This guy's the best.
01:43For me, he's the best.
01:45Dude, I don't get it.
01:47Like, okay, the athletics are not going to be a pennant contender.
01:50They're not going to make a charge to the playoffs as we know, but the young talent,
01:55the A's have until they will be sent out to their pasture and go somewhere else in Major
01:59League Baseball because the athletics won't pay them.
02:02Jacob Wilson got a little banged up earlier this week, but an MRI reveals that it's not
02:07all that serious.
02:08Jacob Wilson as a rookie is the all-star starter at shortstop for the American League.
02:14I don't give a damn how good Cam Smith has been.
02:18He should not be the favorite.
02:19And then Mr. Kurtz behind him at a five to one price.
02:24Both of the A's guys should be well in front of the Astros Cam Smith.
02:29Are we becoming a Sacramento show?
02:31You and I, we're Doug Christie guys.
02:33We're Nick Kurtz guys and we are Jacob Wilson guys.
02:38Like, let's campaign for the AL rookie of the year odds.
02:41Could we be looking at the best Major League Baseball year we've ever had?
02:46Like, just for the fact we don't play at the Trop, we don't play at the Coliseum out there
02:49in Oakland anymore.
02:50Like, the fact that Sacramento has now added that we're going to give you 100 degree days,
02:56which you never would have at night in Oakland.
02:58I mean, it's been fantastic so far to watch you play out.
03:00And yes, a little soft spot in my heart.
03:02So many times, like, throughout my career, like, hey, let's wait up and watch the A's game
03:07at like 10 o'clock.
03:08It's always a little bit special spot in my heart for, you know, Oakland slash Sacramento
03:12now.
