00:00This is the home of one of the original Victorian lavender farms

00:18Because maybe a lot of people don't know

00:20That this area of South London

00:22Was very famous for lavender growing in the 18th and 19th centuries

00:26So although we started it in 2006

00:29It was actually a long time before

00:31And this is one of the original Victorian lavender fields

00:54You'll see that there are loads of tourists

00:56That have come from the Asian continent in particular

01:00I guess that's because the Chinese

01:02We first started having loads and loads of Chinese people in the field

01:06And for them lavender represents love, purity, romance and innocence

01:11And so when they would literally come into the field

01:15In the early days

01:16The young Chinese would be jumping off the bus

01:18And jumping up and down for joy in the lavender

01:21And so yeah I guess that's the biggest population that we have

01:26The Chinese, the Indians and the Arabs
