00:05stray mutant animal is the caped crusader himself Batman walking through his

00:10beloved cities underground rivers and nothing but his signature black shorts

00:14well actually it's just a figment of my imagination but hey don't blame me you

00:21clicked on this video for a reason see today we're going to talk about why

00:25spider-man would join the dark detective in these dark dank sewers it's me and

00:31this is top 10 nerd and these are the top 10 reasons spider-man would team up

00:35with Batman number 10 to get away from Mary Jane you know sometimes Peter Parker

00:41needs a break from being uncle Ben being the friendly neighborhood spider-man and

00:45being the slightly annoying husband of Mary Jane Watson I mean MJ is great and all

00:50but she can be a little much sometimes just think of how many times she said go

00:53get M tiger or hi ahab the woman is a walking Jim Davis comic strip so in

00:59Batman puts out a bat signal for heroes from around the world to come to Gotham

01:03and help him fight crime Spidey jumps at the chance to catch a plane and get out

01:06of town for a while number 9 to face an enemy he can't take on alone even though

01:12spider-man has fought and beaten some pretty dangerous villains on his own there

01:17are other baddies that even he knows are too much for him to handle by himself

01:20enter Batman when they team up Spidey can distract the bad guy while Batman gets

01:27into position to attack or vice versa plus spider-man gets to watch Batman do what

01:33he does best beat the living crap out of people no 8 to spend time with his

01:38favorite superhero okay yes it's true spider-man's favorite superhero is Batman

01:43it was revealed an amazing spider-man number 536 back in 2008 and I don't

01:49blame him I mean who wouldn't want to be friends with a rich brooding slightly

01:53sociopathic billionaire yeah you may have to put up with some of his quirks like

01:57his need to punch every single person he meets in the face but at least he

02:01doesn't insist on calling you tiger all the time number seven because someone

02:06stole his suit if you've been keeping up with the comics you'll know that both

02:10spider-man and Batman have had their suits stolen by the villainous Mysterio in

02:15fact Mysterio used his illusions to make it look like Spidey was robbing a

02:18bank while wearing a replica of Batman's costume talk about embarrassing then

02:23Mysterio proceeded to sell this new bat suit to the criminal organization the

02:27hand as you can imagine this led to a massive team up between the two heroes and a

02:32whole lot of confusion number six to prove he's better than Batman ever since

02:37the death of Superman in the late 90s there has been a constant debate amongst

02:42comic book fans as to who is the greatest superhero Batman or spider-man

02:47personally I think the answer is obvious but I'm a little biased anyway there have

02:52been several instances where these two heroes have teamed up and competed against

02:56each other to see who is the better hero in the pages of the comic the Batman and

03:00spider-man these two go head-to-head until they re force to work together to

03:04take on villains like Killer Croc and Catwoman in the end they decide that

03:09instead of competing with one another they should just team up and show the

03:13world that they re both awesome in their own unique ways

03:17no 5 to fight crime because that's what superheroes do no matter how different

03:24these two heroes are they both share one common goal to protect the innocent and

03:28fight crime wherever they find it they also both dress really cool and have

03:33really cool vehicles even if Batman's car was destroyed in the last movie we're

03:38looking at you Michael Keaton number four he owes Batman a favor back in 2004

03:43spider-man and Batman team up to stop the villain massacre but during the fight

03:48Batman ends up getting critically wounded seeing as how Batman was already near

03:53death spider-man rushed him to spidey heaven no not that kind of spidey heaven

03:58this spidey heaven was actually the daily bugle where Peter Parker worked as a

04:02photographer after getting patched up by Aunt May Batman was able to recover and

04:06live to fight another day so naturally when Batman asked spider-man for a favor

04:11he's gonna say yes I mean it would be rude not to no 3 he wants to learn from the

04:19best while he may be one of the most powerful superheroes in the world spider-man is

04:24still learning how to use his powers I mean he was only 15 years old when he got them after all

04:29and who better to learn from than Batman I mean sure he doesn't have superpowers but

04:35he is arguably the best detective in the world and perhaps the best martial artist as well not to

04:40mention he has more gadgets than Santa's workshop and he never runs out of money

04:43spidey could probably learn a thing or two from him no two for the fan service look I'm not gonna lie

04:50a big part of why these two team up so often is because fans love to see these two characters

04:56interact with each other I mean who wouldn't want to see a wisecracking wall crawler team up with a

05:01broody bat out of hell these two have such different personalities that they play off each other really

05:06well and the first time they ever met in the comics back in detective comics number 353 in April of 1964

05:13they immediately became fast friends of course this was also around the time that Batman was besties

05:20with the Green Lantern and was still pals with Commissioner Gordon to take that with a grain of

05:25salt and finally number one because Batman asked nicely come on you didn't really think I was gonna say

05:31anything else did you I mean I love me some Spidey and Batsy but I'm not gone nah sit here and lie to

05:38you and say there est any deeper meaning behind their partnership a lot of the time it's just

05:43because Batman asked him to help in the video game Lego Batman 3 beyond Gotham when Batman goes to

05:49Spidey's universe to recruit him to help take down the Joker Batman simply says I need your help and

05:55Spider-Man immediately drops everything to help him no questions asked and honestly if Batman ever

06:01asked you to help him fight crime you wouldn't need a reason to say yes you would just say yes so those are

06:08my thoughts on why spider-man teams up with Batman but now I want to hear from you guys eight what's
