00:00Eric, what the heck are you doing?
00:01I'm asserting myself. It's tough love.
00:03Welcome to WatchMojo.
00:05And today we're counting down our picks for the top 10 South Park celebrity appearances
00:10that you may not have even noticed.
00:20Number 10. Bill Hader in Various Roles
00:25This Saturday Night Live alum has contributed significantly to South Park.
00:30Hader's involvement with the series began in Season 12 when he served as a writing consultant.
00:36He has also been credited as a producer for multiple episodes.
00:39Hello, I'm Alec Baldwin, and I love social media.
00:43But sometimes I accidentally tweet things that are homophobic.
00:47I don't think that way. I just type that way.
00:50That said, even the most loyal SNL fans likely don't recognize Hader as the voice of several South Park characters.
00:58From Alec Baldwin, to a Yo Gabba Gabba monster, to, believe it or not, Kyle's brother, Ike Broflovski, on a few occasions.
01:07Ike, we have the whole day to play Xbox. Mom and dad are leaving.
01:10Maybe later, okay.
01:11Perhaps, most notably, Hader joined the show's co-creator Trey Parker as one of two farmers who apparently care a lot about britches.
01:21Watch Parker and Hader struggle to contain their laughter in the recording studio, and you'll see why they keep Hader around.
01:27I don't know.
01:32Number 9. Norman Lear as Benjamin Franklin
01:36The late, great Norman Lear was behind several key examples of American television.
01:42Lear created, produced, and developed more than 100 shows, including Maude, Sanford & Son, and All in the Family.
01:50Nice, Daddy. I worked hard today.
01:53So did I, little girl. But you don't see me coming home and slobbering all over your mother.
01:58No, that's right, Gloria. Your father was never much of a slobbering.
02:05He's more of a pecker.
02:06This TV idol was brought aboard for season 7 of South Park, during which she operated as a creative consultant and worked closely with Trey Parker and Matt Stone.
02:16It was in this season that Lear guest starred as Benjamin Franklin in the show's 100th episode, I'm a Little Bit Country.
02:24I believe that if we are to form a new country, we cannot be a country that appears war-hungry and violent to the rest of the world.
02:33Fitting, since it has been said that Cartman was loosely inspired by Archie Bunker.
02:38Lear remained a mega-fan of South Park, appreciating the series' blend of poignant commentary and biting humor.
02:46He would also offer a heartfelt congratulations when the 200th episode rolled around.
02:51Whack here!
02:52Jay Leno as Mr. Kitty
02:56Jay Leno is among the most prominent television hosts of all time, so it's only natural that he'd be cast as Cartman's cat.
03:05Yes, as strange as it may seem, Leno gave life to Mr. Kitty in the season 1 finale.
03:11No, Kitty, this is my corned beef cabbage.
03:14Meow.
03:14No, Kitty, that's a bad kitty!
03:16Particularly in the early days of South Park, Matt and Trey had a habit of having major celebrities voice minor characters.
03:24In a few cases, such as this one, stars would appear as pets.
03:29Not only did Leno provide meows and hisses for Mr. Kitty in this instance, but he also voiced himself in a South Park short that aired on The Tonight Show.
03:38Kenny wants to know if that's your real chin or if you had a silicone implant.
03:42All right, all right, kids, very funny.
03:44Look, believe me, there isn't a chin joke you can tell me that I haven't already heard, okay?
03:48So let's just put a stop.
03:49I bet you go through about 40 razors when you shave, huh?
03:51Leno took jokes about his facial structure right on the, pun intended, chin.
03:57Number seven, Malcolm McDowell as the narrator, a.k.a. a British person.
04:03South Park's creators took a major risk with season four's Pip.
04:08For years now, the character Pip has been featured prominently in the American show South Park.
04:14However, many Americans don't realize where Pip came from.
04:17Abandoning the major characters and setting to present an animated retelling of great expectations,
04:24this episode is among the least popular, even in Trey and Matt's opinion.
04:28But one of its most interesting points is a cameo by Malcolm McDowell, best known as Alex from A Clockwork Orange.
04:36Welly, welly, welly, welly, welly, welly, welly, welly, well.
04:40To what do I owe the extreme pleasure of this surprising visit?
04:45In an homage to Masterpiece Theatre, McDowell narrates this antiquated British novel,
04:50not as himself, but as a quote-unquote British person,
04:54because every Dickinson story needs an elegant yet whimsical narrator with a British accent.
05:01Until next time, I'm a British person.
05:04Good night.
05:05Number six, Jennifer Aniston as Miss Stevens.
05:09This bombshell rose to fame in the 90s as Rachel Green on Friends.
05:14Widely regarded as the most successful sitcom of all time, Friends was in its prime in 1999.
05:20When Aniston appeared as Miss Stevens in Rainforest Schmainforest.
05:25Uh, thank you, Mr. Garrison.
05:26How are we all doing today?
05:29I can't hear you.
05:31I said, how are we all doing?
05:33While it's interesting that Aniston's cameo wasn't more widely popularized,
05:37she's very funny as a children's choir director who constantly preaches about environmental awareness.
05:44Bring me something back from the rainforest.
05:46Oh, no, no, no.
05:47The rainforest is very fragile.
05:48We must take only pictures and leave only footprints.
05:51Oh, I didn't realize.
05:53The highlight is watching Miss Stevens slowly unravel and come to hate the rainforest as much as the rest of the tour group,
06:01leading to an expletive-laced rant about how she's grown to feel about it.
06:05We're clearing out big sections of the rainforest for a lumberyard.
06:09Really?
06:09That's great!
06:10You mean you don't mind?
06:11No!
06:12I hate the rainforest!
06:13Number five.
06:15Josh Gad is Marcus Preston and Miss McGillicuddy.
06:19Josh Gad is a famously hammy and goofy performer of stage, screen, and, briefly, South Park.
06:26Why don't we head back to the party and cut the cake?
06:29I don't want cake!
06:29Who can eat cake at a time like this?
06:31In addition to his contributions to Disney films, namely as Olaf in the Frozen franchise, Gad had worked with Matt Stone and Trey Parker before guest starring on South Park.
06:42In particular, he originated the part of Elder Cunningham in their hit musical, The Book of Mormon.
06:48Holy moly, I said it like 13 times!
06:52It is rude, crude, lewd, and blasphemous, but it hasn't kept critics from proclaiming The Book of Mormon the best Broadway musical in a decade.
07:02Gad would collaborate with Trey and Matt again in season 21's Hummels and Heroin.
07:07Here, Gad showcases his versatility, playing both the precious Marcus Preston and a drug-slinging senior citizen named Miss McGillicuddy.
07:17Oh, Miss McGillicuddy, how are you feeling today?
07:20I'm doing very well.
07:22Have they given you Percocet for that knee of yours?
07:26Oh, yeah, here, I just got it.
07:28Number 4.
07:30See ya as Lord.
07:31If you're a loyal South Park fan, you're likely aware that in this universe, the singer Lord is actually Stan's father, Randy Marsh, in disguise.
07:41Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, I am Lord, yeah, yeah, yeah, Lord, Lord, come in, Lord, yeah, yeah, yeah.
07:47Season 18's The Sissy explains that Randy lives a double life as the innovative and down-to-earth singer, and offers some valuable insight on self-expression, albeit through parody of the gendered bathroom issue.
08:01There's a guy at work, Hanson.
08:03He would use the bathroom and just blow the thing up, you know?
08:07Not only that, but he was in there all the time.
08:09I finally got fed up.
08:12I pretended to be a woman.
08:13I called myself Lord.
08:15The episode even features a ridiculously catchy song that sounds like it really could be Lord singing, but in reality, it's Australian vocalist Sia behind the mic.
08:25Not only did Sia give a wonderful performance of Push feeling good on a Wednesday, but Lord herself took the episode in good humor.
08:33And I will push, push, tear down the walls.
08:38Number three.
08:40Cheech Marin as Carlos Ramirez and Tommy Chong as Chief Running Pinto.
08:45This legendary duo much defined the stoner comedy genre.
08:49Oh, look everyone, these are our two resident Native Americans, Chief Running Pinto and Carlos Ramirez.
08:55Celebrated for their stand-up routines, albums, and films like 1978's Up in Smoke, Cheech and Chong are irreplaceable in American culture, even though they're known for their vulgarity and drug use.
09:08But their irreverence is hardly out of place on South Park.
09:11Four dozen Cherokee hair tampons, please.
09:13No problem, man. Pay misinformation up front.
09:17Hi, I have a little bit of pain in my balls whenever I watch VH1.
09:21Oh, here, try this, man. This is all-natural ball juice.
09:25In fact, this season four episode features both Cheech and Chong respectively playing Carlos Ramirez and Chief Running Pinto, both Mexican-Americans posing as Native Americans.
09:37Incidentally, this was Cheech and Chong's first project together since 1985, though each comedian recorded his lines in separate locations.
09:47Yeah, hey, man, we're glad you're getting better, too.
09:49Number two.
09:51Henry Winkler as the kid-eating monster.
09:54Here's another instance of a mega-celebrity voicing a random character on South Park.
09:59Oh, maybe Miss Crabtree did make up that stuff about the big black monster.
10:02Henry Winkler is perhaps best known for portraying Arthur Fonzarelli on the classic sitcom Happy Days.
10:16Even if you've never seen that show, you've likely heard of the Fonz.
10:20The character is so popular, he's practically a meme.
10:23It is very dank in here.
10:27Hey, how are you, gentlemen?
10:28Despite his place in TV history, Winkler is entirely unrecognizable as a child-eating monster in Season 2's City on the Edge of Forever.
10:38Strangely enough, the Fonz himself shows up in this episode, but not voiced by Winkler, who simply provided growls and chewing noises for the monster.
10:49Mommy!

11:10Number one.
11:11George Clooney as Sparky and Doctor.
11:14George Clooney's involvement in South Park is a prime example of a high-profile celebrity cameo that flies under the radar.
11:22Hiya, Sparky!
11:23Who's that?
11:23That's my new dog, Sparky.
11:25He followed me to the bus stop.
11:26Early on in Season 1, Clooney appeared as Stan's dog, Sparky.
11:31Though his contribution consisted solely of barking sounds.
11:35He'd later voice a doctor in the 1999 movie.
11:38Kenny, can you hear me?
11:39Oh, shit, dude.
11:39How are you feeling, son?
11:41I'm so good.
11:42Great.
11:43Son, I have some bad news.
11:45We accidentally replaced your heart with a baked potato.
11:47You have about three seconds to live.
11:49What's extra funny about Clooney's involvement with the series is that the creators went on to poke fun at him in Season 10's Smuggler,
11:57wherein the real Clooney's Oscars acceptance speech is said to have caused a smog or smug storm.
12:03God help us.
12:04This just goes to show that nobody is safe from Trey and Matt, not the guy who helped get the word out about the spirit of Christmas.
12:22Did we miss any celebrity cameos?
12:24Let us know in the comments.
12:25Hey, Moodo, what should we do now?
12:28Let's play cool, cool trick.
12:30All right.
12:31Who out in the audience has a cool, cool trick to show us?
