00:07Il primo ministro Pedro Sánchez recentemente ha detto che il suo città è responsabile

00:11per la creazione della metà di tutte le nuove job in l'eurozone.

00:15Grazie a tutte le difficoltà che abbiamo trovato, interna e externa,

00:19Spagna avanza, le pese a chi le pese.

00:22Aportiamo, fijaos, il 40% del crescimento

00:25e la mitad dei nuovi jobi in l'eurozone.

00:28Ma è stata realizzata la metà di tutte le nuove job in l'eurozone?

00:32Vediamo cosa dicono i numeri di Eurostat.

00:35Vediamo che alcuni 157 milioni di persone

00:38sono employate nel primo quattro di 2025 in l'eurozone,

00:42compared a 155 milioni in the same periodo di l'euro,

00:46so un'increse di quasi 2 milioni di jobs.

00:49Spagna s'employment figure stood a circa 21,600 milioni

00:53at the beginning of 2025,

00:55up from around 21,100 milioni in 2024.

00:59That means an increase of about 454,000 jobs,

01:03which constitutes just over 25%

01:06of the extra jobs in l'eurozone,

01:08not 50%, as Sánchez claimed.

01:10However, it's worth noting that Spain

01:12has contributed the most new jobs

01:14to the eurozone in the same period.

01:16Using the same calculations

01:18for each of the eurozone countries,

01:20we see that Spain is up top of the list

01:22with its 25.3%,

01:24followed by France with 24.5%,

01:26and then Italy with 20.5%,

01:28Germany with 11%,

01:30and Portugal with 7%

01:32round out the top five eurozone countries

01:34creating new jobs.

01:36Nonetheless, Spain does still rank as having

01:38one of the lowest employment rates

01:40compared to its total population in the EU,

01:42according to the same Eurostat dataset.

01:44This is despite recent reports

01:46that its GDP is thriving

01:48and outperforming France, Germany and Italy,

01:50the eurozone's biggest economies.
