00:00Sa ibang balita, positibo ang Pilipinas na mananatiling matibay ang ugnayan sa ekonomiya sa Estados Unidos sa kabila ng ipapataw nitong taripa.

00:08Plano naman ang pamahalaan na makipag-negosasyon para sa reciprocal tariff. May report si Harley Valbuena.

00:17Simula Agosto, magiging 20% na ang tariff para sa lahat ng export ng Pilipinas patungong US.

00:25Mula yan sa dati sanang 17% rate lamang na itinakda noong Abril.

00:31Ito ang laman ng sulat ng White House kay President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.

00:36Pero, positibo pa rin ang pamahalaan na mananatiling matibay ang ekonomiya sa Pilipinas at Estados Unidos.

00:44Makikipag-negosasyon ang bansa para sa reciprocal tariff.

00:47So myself, together with DTI Secretary Chris Roque and Undersecretary Perry Rodolfo,

00:55and Undersecretary Alan Hefty, will be flying to the United States next week.

01:01This is actually a scheduled trip to the United States even before today's announcement.

01:06So there will be meetings next week amongst the trade representatives ng Amerika po at ng Pilipinas.

01:14Kabilang sa isusunong ng pamahalan, ang bilateral comprehensive economic agreement o ang posibleng free trade agreement

01:21para mas makabuo pa ng mas sustainable na trade partnership.

01:26Sa kabila ng naging hakbang ng US, sinabi ni Go, ang 20% na itinakda ng US ay pangalawang pinakamababa, sumunod sa 10% ng Singapore.

01:36I binahagi ni Go, piling mga produkto lamang ang sakop ng 20% na taripa.

01:42Our number one export sa Amerika ay semiconductors and electronics.

01:46And as of today, a very, very large part of that is exempted from the reciprocal tariffs.

01:53So although nag-a-announce ang may mga feelers po galing sa Amerika na they are studying this,

02:00whether they will continue to keep them tariff-free or lalagyan po nila ng tariffs.

02:07Pero ang good news po sa atin sa ngayon ay karamihan ng ating exports ng semiconductors ay hindi covered ng tariffs.

02:16Tiniyak naman ang pamahalaan na gumagawa ng hakbang para mapalago ang ekonomiya ng Pilipinas.

02:22The economic team, the DTI, will continue to advance key economic reforms

02:28to sustain a competitive and investor-friendly business environment

02:32and to try to build more trade relationships with other countries all over the world

02:39to create more market opportunities for our business enterprises dito po sa Pilipinas.
