00:00like to see it happen okay all right no I mean anybody it could happen to anybody
00:10may everybody it's a especially if you're a public figure that it's got to
00:13get enough like they could take the interview out of here today and change
00:15it around so but you know I as soon as I found out about it last week I referred
00:21it to the FBI diplomatic security and others it won't be the last time you see
00:25me or others for that matter maybe some of you will be impersonated but it's
00:29just a reality of this AI technology that's going on and it's a real threat
00:33but oh somebody called me it was a senator that called me and said hey did you just
00:39try to reach me and actually sent me a voice recording it doesn't sound it
00:42doesn't really sound like me if you fell for that call you know but but maybe
00:46there was a better one that I didn't see you know but it was on the signal right
00:49so I don't know how they got it or if it was a voicemail no it doesn't matter what
00:53form you use somebody doesn't matter if it's signal anything there are more
00:56secure methods that in signal you know you can create an account with an email
00:59address and that was one of the reasons that they were able to reach out to
01:03people and then use the voicemail messages to imitate your voice I've had
01:07people in the past ask me if I texted him like within days of becoming Secretary of
01:13State I had foreign ministers calling the State Department asking if I had just
01:16texted them so I don't know guys this is just the reality of the 21st century with
01:21AI and fake stuff that's going on it's generally I communicate with my
01:28counterparts around the world through official channels for a reason and
01:31that's to avoid this so you know
01:37perpetrator somebody with an AI software that could be anybody in the world my
01:43senses the target really isn't me the target is the people they're reaching
01:46out to to try to trick them into a call or whatever and and who knows what they do
01:50with it but um it you're gonna hear about this for a long time I mean not just me
01:53it'll happen to other people because all you need is a recording of someone's
01:57voice and you can come up with it so yeah it's just one of the other great
02:02challenges posed to us by AI I'm sure there's a lot of positive aspects to AI as
02:06well but
