00:04Host Billy Bush is opening up about Donald Trump's infamous Access Hollywood tape during
00:09a new interview. The veteran TV host of the Hollywood program revealed on Rob Lowe's Sirius
00:14XM podcast that he flagged the president's lewd comments to his superior more than a decade before
00:20the scandal broke. The day of the filming in 2005, I called my producer and said,
00:25you're not going to believe what Trump said. He's going after Nancy. All I said was Nancy
00:29Odell because I didn't hear the other stuff. Bush was referencing his Access Hollywood colleague
00:34Odell and the other stuff seemingly refers to Trump's comments about grabbing women by the
00:39genitals. He continued, I said he's trying to take Nancy furniture shopping to sleep with her.
00:44This is crazy. He's done it again. The guy's an animal. I report it basically to my superior,
00:49but it sits in a desk forever because had that tape leaked out when it actually occurred in 2005,
00:54I would have been fired for an entirely different reason, killing NBC's cash cow.
00:59It wasn't until 2016 during the final weeks of Trump's first campaign for the White House
01:03that the Washington Post published an expose that revealed audio of what has come to be known as
01:09the Access Hollywood tape. The recording features Trump bragging on a bus in 2005 about grabbing
01:14women by the genitals and audio captured off camera. He's heard saying, when you're a star,
01:19they let you do it. You can do anything. Bush says fallout from the scandal cost him a huge paycheck,
01:24which he credits a circle of celebrity friends, including Dennis Quaid, Julie Bowen, Cindy Crawford,
01:30Eric Stonestreet and Michael Strahan for helping him recover. I was about to get a huge paycheck,
01:36my first really big paycheck. For more on this interview, head to THR.com. And for the latest
