00:00Hello, everyone. Today I am trying Swish LA Chicken Noodle Soup with 25% less salt.
00:11Now, they came out with these canned ones. They have a rice one, chicken noodles, I mean chicken with rice.
00:19They have another one that's just plain chicken noodle soup with not 25% less salt, but this one has less salt in it.
00:27And it's in my trusty Yeti container that I take with me. You can keep things cold and hot in here.
00:34And it's been really trustworthy to me to keep things hot and cold. I'm actually really liking it.
00:40And it's a fairly new thing that Yeti came out with. They have three sizes. This is a medium one.
00:46And then they have a small one and then they have a large one. So it's in here that I'll try in a minute.
00:51But before I tell you about Swish, I want to tell you a little bit about Swish LA.
00:57Swish LA first opened up in Toronto, Ontario in 1954.
01:05And then the same year, as far as what the Internet says, and sometimes they have been wrong,
01:11two more opened up in Toronto in the downtown area.
01:15So in 1954, I think it first went on Blur Street and then they opened up another one on Young.
01:20And then after that, they went all over Ontario. They're mainly in Ontario, but they still are in some Canadian areas.
01:30They have one in Peterberto, Ontario. And I tried to look up when that actually opened up because I know it opened up way before 2012.
01:38That's when the second one opened up. But they have one on Lansdowne Street that's been there ever since I was a teen.
01:44And I just can't find the year. So obviously, because this is in a can and it's a Canadian company,
01:53obviously, because it's in a can, I'm saying it twice now, I'm not making any sense, but it's going to taste differently.
02:00What they do at Swish LA is they make fresh chicken noodle soup every day, but you can't get the 25% less version.
02:09You can't get that version there. And you can't, I don't think they even offer, they might offer chicken with rice soup.
02:17I'm not really sure, but they make it fresh every day at Swish LA.
02:20So this is not going to taste the same as getting it from Swish LA.
02:27I heard, though, some people think it does taste the same.
02:32So I was like, OK, I'm very curious. I'm very curious of how the canned soup is going to taste the same from, you know, the original freshness.
02:41Where clearly some people say no, but a lot of people agree that it's a good taste.
02:47It tastes good. So I says, OK, well, I got to try it.
02:52I got to try it. So now I'm going to open this up, my trusty container.
03:01One good thing, one interesting thing about this container is sometimes it's actually physically hard to open.
03:11And I have my own metal spoon. I don't like plastic, so I always make sure I have a metal one.
03:16So there's some holes here, if you have trouble opening it, that you can release the air.
03:24And hopefully I can open it. I've had trouble a few times.
03:30Uh-huh. Oh, geez. Oh, got it.
03:34See, that's one good thing I really like about this, too.
03:38It is leak proof.
03:41Actually, normally I shake it over my head. I did a few reviews of this before.
03:46So here it is here.
03:49You can see the noodles.
04:01There's the carrots, the chicken.
04:03You can see the steam. I still see steam coming out of it.
04:18You might not see it on the video. I'm not sure.
04:22It tastes good.
04:24It doesn't taste like their freshness from Swiss L.A., but...
04:31Oh, I should have brought some crackers.
04:34Actually, I think there's even pepper in here.
04:36Do you know what?
04:51You can notice the less salt.
04:55You can actually notice it.
04:57I didn't think I would notice 25% less salt, but I actually do notice it.
05:02It's actually not bad at all.
05:04A lot of broth, though.
05:05So, 70% calories, 8% fat, trans fat is zero, sugar is two, four is fiber, sodium is 22%, potassium is five, calcium is two, and iron is four.
05:27So, basically, the main ingredient is water, where it actually should be broth, carrots, seasoned chicken, white meat, I would prefer brown meat or dark meat, I like dark meat better, modified corn, salt, soury, noodles, dried egg, green peas, onion powder, salt, yeast, cornstarch, chicken, fat.
05:53At least I can actually pronounce most of these words.
05:57Dehydrated green bell peppers.
05:59I didn't really see any in there.
06:01Natural flavor, sugar, herbs, contains egg and soy and wheat.
06:06Now, let's see if I can find any of the green peppers in there.
06:10Oh, there they are.
06:10There's the peas.
06:12There's the soury.
06:13There's the carrots.
06:19Ah, there's the green peppers.
06:23I would prefer more stuff in here.
06:27It just looks like a lot of broth, but it still is good.
06:37Yeah, as you can see.
06:39Yeah, there's the soury.
06:51I do see, well, there's some green peppers.
06:59I'm trying to find more green peppers.
07:01They don't really have a whole lot in there.
07:02More stuff, I think, would taste a lot better.
07:10And also, I should have got crackers.
07:13Now, I'm going to put this lid back on and shake it over my head.
07:20And hopefully it is leak-proof.
07:21Yep, still leak-proof.
07:23As you can see there, it's actually a good container.
07:26I'm not sure what to think of it.
07:29The less salt really does change the flavor.
07:34And I would have preferred more garlic taste that I'm not getting.
07:42Hmm.
07:44I would give this a 6.5 out of 10.
07:48Not great.
07:49Not super.
07:50I think I would prefer more salt in it.
07:53Maybe I should have brought more salt and put more salt in,
07:55and I probably would have liked it more.
07:57But I still do like it.
08:00Swish LA, since 1954.
08:04A 6.5 out of 10 for me.
08:06And I'll probably end up just getting the regular one
08:09and try that one as well and see the difference.
08:11Bye for now, everyone.
08:12Have an incredible day.
08:13Check out my movie reviews, food reviews, and much more.
08:16And thank you again.
