00:00Just really for the benefit of our audience, and we're talking, aren't we, in the week of what is the quarter of a century anniversary of Camp David, which was July 2000.
00:11Perhaps this is all bringing back some memories for you, Paul.
00:15But just really forward winding to the present day, Prime Minister Netanyahu has been in Washington this week.
00:21Lots of talks taking place, lots of energy it would appear in the diplomatic effort to bring about an end to the war in Gaza.
00:28What does it look to you like has been achieved so far?
00:32Well, I think you've said it. A lot of energy, a lot of movement.
00:36There are reports that the negotiations that are being hosted by Qatar are moving things forward, but other reports saying that there are major obstacles that haven't moved.
00:51So from our outside perspective, it's hard to say anything's been achieved.
00:55Again, we're not really yet talking, as far as I know, about a peace in Gaza.
01:02We're talking about merely a ceasefire, and we've had a couple of those, and they've come and gone, usually with exchanges of hostages for many, many more Palestinian prisoners.
01:14And as far as I know, that's what these talks are about.
