A car is reported to have collided the side wall of Highcliffe care home in Sunderland.

00:00I'm here at Highcliffe care home in Sunderland where as you can see there is quite extensive
00:06damage which has been caused to the side of the building. I've spoken to a lady whose father is
00:10staying at the care home and she has informed me that a car came off the road last night and
00:15crashed into the side wall. Her father and a number of other people have been evacuated.
00:20She has praised the staff for the care which they have given to the residents and also to the families.
