00:00Four dwellings on an 800 square metre block.
00:05We've got a rather large family and we wanted to be able to accommodate sons, daughters,
00:13grandchildren coming and going.
00:14This Gold Coast couple designed an award winning home to comfortably sleep 20 people.
00:19It includes their home office and their sons and grandkids live next door.
00:24We've organised it so that you don't need to see each other if you don't want to.
00:29There's plenty of different ways in and out of the site.
00:34At Binogun this family's kitchen is about to get busier.
00:37Yeah we had to do some extensions, just an extra pad that we've got on the property
00:42to fit both the eldest kids in and have mum and dad move in downstairs.
00:47In a couple of months they'll have four generations living under one roof.
00:51It's pretty easy to be honest, it's not like you would probably think it would be where
00:55we might get under each other's skin, we all get along really well.
00:57They're cutting costs while keeping an eye on the family matriarch who just had a second hip replacement.
01:03I don't really plan on getting old and immobile, I plan on being mobile.
01:10But it will be nice to know they're there, yeah.
01:12The last census showed the average Australian household size is decreasing
01:17and as cost of living grows there are calls for us to be smarter with space
01:21and squeeze more people into our homes.
01:24You need to change like how they're designed and you know,
01:27can houses be designed for example for maybe two couples or three generations
01:32or two generations or something where you can actually have privacy within the same house.
01:37A creative solution to the housing crisis.
01:44There are six people who have them with who have this far,
01:48there are six people, but two advances so that they don't eat us
01:50you can't reach it.
01:52They can reduce the public policy,
01:53but there are six people which are the largest citizens trying to share with the public policy.
01:57That has happened before,
01:58before working on the final dashboard,
01:59to review theịchス in the backboard and to ensemble process,
02:01to continue to advance it on like our peak restoration.
