A parking attendant was charged in three separate courts in Kuala Lumpur with 11 offences, including possession of an imitation firearm, criminal intimidation, and causing hurt to two men in various locations around the capital earlier this month.

R. Sanjjiiv, 27, pleaded not guilty to all charges after they were read out before Magistrates M.S. Arunjothy, Noorelynna Hanim Abd Halim, and Illi Marisqa Khalizan on Wednesday (July 9).

00:00A parking attendant was charged in the KL magistrate's court on Wednesday with 11 counts
00:05of criminal intimidation against four men, possession of an imitation firearm, and causing
00:11injury earlier this month. Our Sanjeev, however, pleaded not guilty to all charges. According to
00:17the charge sheet, the 27-year-old was slapped with five counts of possessing a black imitation pistol
00:23that was found in the dashboard of his car at five different locations between 10 and 11.30pm
00:30on July 1st. The offense falls under Section 36 of the Arms Act, 1960, which carries imprisonment
00:39not exceeding one year and a maximum fine of 5,000 ringgit or both if convicted. The father of two
00:47was also slapped with four charges of criminal intimidation against four men at the same place
00:52and time. He was charged under Section 506 of the Penal Code, which carries a maximum imprisonment
00:58of two years or a fine or both upon conviction. Sanjeev was also accused of causing injury to a
01:0558-year-old man using the imitation firearm at Jalan Klang Lama at 11.30pm on July 1st.
01:13This offense falls under Section 324 of the Penal Code, which carries a maximum imprisonment
01:18of 2,000 ringgit or both if convicted. The court allowed bail of 19,000 ringgit with one surety for
01:25the 11 charges with the additional condition of not disturbing the victims and prosecution witnesses,
01:27and set August 14th to a 30-year-old man by punching the victim's face at Jalan Sungai Besi at 10pm on July 1st.
01:32The offense falls under Section 323 of the Penal Code, which provides for up to one year imprisonment or a maximum fine of 2,000 ringgit or both if convicted.
01:42The court allowed bail of 19,000 ringgit with one surety for the 11 charges with the additional condition of not disturbing the victims and prosecution witnesses, and set August 14th and September 4th for mention.
