00:04Hi, Irina. Just off the back of that French Open final,
00:07you said that you've learnt from it so much to be calm on the court now.
00:10Do you think this match, if it was before that,
00:12you might have lost it?
00:13And what are you sort of telling yourself in your head
00:15differently than you did then?
00:17Yeah, honestly, I think there is a big possibility
00:21that I would have lost this match if I didn't learn that lesson at the French Open.
00:33And in some moments I was just keep reminding myself,
00:37which is probably a bit crazy, but I was keep reminding myself that,
00:40come on, it's a quarter-final of Wimbledon, you cannot give up,
00:44you cannot let the emotions just take over you and lose another match.
00:48And I was just reminding myself that it is my dream,
00:51like why would I give up so easily, so I have to keep fighting.
00:54That was basically, that's it. I was just like, keep telling myself that
00:58and I was willing to win points, to push myself and to get those tough points.
01:11Congratulations. In terms of your game,
01:13are there any parts of your game that you fell today,
01:16that you improved during the match and that you want to improve even more
01:21for the next round, no matter who you play?
01:23Well, I mean, definitely my game from all of her different slices,
01:29like that game today was definitely improved.
01:35and I think she forced me to go to the net and play at the net, not just like, you know,
01:40you approach the net and you finish in the net, but I had to play in extra shots on the net.
01:44And it was also, maybe I didn't win all of the points, but I think I practiced and I think I got better at this.
01:52So right now going to the net and play like, I don't know how many shots I have to play there.
01:57I feel quite comfortable.
01:59So yeah, what I would love to improve, steal my game from the slices.
02:06I think I made a lot of unforced errors, unnecessary ones today.
02:11Ava.
