00:00Have you ever wondered about the angel who brought the Quran to Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him?
00:05Let's talk about Angel Gabriel, or as we say in Arabic, Jibril, the majestic messenger of Allah,
00:10and one of the most fascinating figures in all of Islam.
00:13In Islamic belief, Jibril isn't just another angel, he's one of the most exalted, created by Allah,
00:18not born like you and me but made from pure light.
00:21There's a hadith narrated by Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her, that says angels are made from light,
00:26different from humans who are made from clay, Jibril has no human origin, no parents, no childhood,
00:32he exists only to serve Allah's divine will.
00:35The Quran doesn't tell us exactly when or how he was created, but it's clear,
00:39angels like Jibril have no free will, they don't mess up, they just obey.
00:43But what exactly does Jibril do? His main job is huge, he's the messenger of revelation, imagine.
00:49Every letter of the Quran, every verse that was sent down to Prophet Muhammad,
00:53peace be upon him, came through Jibril over 23 years. Sometimes he appeared as a man,
00:59sometimes in his true form, with 600 wings filling the horizon, as the Prophet described.
01:05Jibril didn't just help our Prophet, he guided other Prophets too, he stood by Ibrahim,
01:10Abraham, supported Musa, Moses, and even announced the birth of Isa, Jesus, to Miriam, Mary.
01:16He delivered Allah's messages, supported the Prophets during their toughest moments,
01:20and carried out divine commands, including bringing punishment to the people of Lut,
01:25Lot, when Allah ordered it. But here's something really cool, Jibril didn't just show up for the
01:30Prophets. He once appeared before the companions of the Prophet, teaching them about faith, Islam,
01:36and excellence in the famous Hadith of Gabriel. The Quran calls him the trustworthy spirit,
01:42Aru Al-Amin, because he never falters in his mission. So what happens to Jibril at the end of time?
01:48The Quran and Hadith don't give us all the details, but here's what's clear. When the world ends,
01:54the angel Israfil will blow the trumpet, and everything in the heavens and earth will come
01:59to an end, except who Allah wills. Jibril's fate isn't spelled out, but scholars say even the angels
02:05will experience Allah's ultimate decree on the day of judgment. After that, their roles are done and
02:11they exist in pure submission, no need for messages anymore. So next time you read or hear the Quran,
02:16remember Jibril the angel made of light, delivering the words of Allah, shaping the faith of billions,
02:22and staying loyal to his mission until the very end. References, the Holy Quran, Sahih al-Bukhari,
02:27Sahih Muslim.
