00:00In the heart of the 20th century, a land torn in two would become the stage for an epic struggle.
00:06Welcome to the Korean War, 1950-1953, a saga of courage, sacrifice, and a world on the brink.
00:15It all began on June 25, 1950, when North Korean forces fueled by communist ambition and backed by
00:21the Soviet Union stormed across the 38th parallel into South Korea. The goal? To unify the peninsula
00:28under a single red banner. Seoul fell in a matter of days and the entire South seemed on the verge of
00:34collapse. But the world would not stand idle. The United States leading a United Nations coalition
00:40answered the call. In a daring move, General Douglas MacArthur orchestrated the Incheon landing in
00:46September 1950, flipping the script completely. South Korean and UN forces surged north, retaking
00:53Seoul and pushing all the way to the Yalu River, the edge of China itself. And then, the epic took a
01:00dramatic twist. China entered the war with millions of troops crossing the border in October 1950.
01:06Their massive counteroffensive sent UN forces reeling. What followed was a brutal grinding
01:12stalemate fought in icy trenches near the 38th parallel, a border that would end up defining a
01:18nation's future. For three long years blood soaked the Korean soil. Soldiers and civilians alike paid
01:25the price, millions lost, families shattered. On July 27, 1953, an armistice was signed at Panmunjom.
01:34The guns fell silent, but true peace never came. Korea remains divided to this day, a living scar of the
01:41Cold War. This was more than just a war, it was an epic of resilience. The Korean people split yet
01:48enduring still carry the legacy of those who fought. What lessons will history teach us next?
