00:08It singles out Umar Silla and Mamadou Bilobar, members of the National Front for the Defense of the Constitution, who were abducted a year ago.

00:17The FNDC, a civil society movement calling for a return to civilian rule, was disbanded in 2022.

00:24Umar Silla, its national coordinator, had called for demonstrations on July 11, 2024, before being disappeared on July 9.

00:32The authorities have denied holding Silla and his colleague, and their fate remains unknown to this day.

00:39Amnesty says that victims of abductions have also suffered torture.

00:43Guinea's military authorities have tried hard to silence demands for elections and a return to civilian rule.
