00:00Philippine boxing team member J. Brian Baricuatro clinches silver medal at the recent World Boxing Cup in Astana, Kazakhstan.
00:08In the men's 50-kilogram finals match held last night, Baricuatro fell short via unanimous decision against hometown favorite Shanzar Tashkenwey.
00:18In the first round, both boxers showed speed and traded powerful blows, but the taller Kazakh boxer's punches seemed to land more effectively.
00:27This continued into the second round, where Baricuatro began struggling against the relentless agility of his opponent.
00:34Tashkenwey maintained control and eventually secured the championship title.
00:40Baricuatro was the sole medalist from the Philippine delegation in the tournament,
00:45joined by fellow members of the Association of Boxing Alliances in the Philippines,
00:49Aaron Jude Bado, June Milardo Ogaire, Mark Ashley Fajardo, and the lone female representative Patricia Sumalinog.
