Srinagar (J&K) July 6th, 2025 (ANI): On the solemn occasion of Muharram, National Conference (NC) President and former J&K Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah participated in a Muharram procession in Srinagar. Addressing the gathering, He said, "Islam teaches peace, brotherhood, and that is the message that is carried. That is the message that Hussain also carried — to fight against tyranny, to fight against evil, and that is what Karbala is about. Karbala is the one that gave Islam hope that we will survive against all odds and nothing will beat Islam."
