Tholi Ekadashi - హిందూ సంప్రదాయం ప్రకారం ఆషాడమాసంలో వచ్చే మొదటి ఏకాదశిని తొలి ఏకాదశి అని పిలుస్తారు. అయితే, ఈ తొలి ఏకాదశి ప్రత్యేక ప్రాముఖ్యతను కలిగి ఉంది. ఈ ఏకాదశి నాడు శ్రీ మహా విష్ణువు క్షీరసాగరంలో 4 నెలలు యోగ నిద్రలోకి వెళ్ళే పవిత్ర రోజు ఇది. అయితే, పంచాంగం ప్రకారం ఈ ఏడాది తొలి ఏకాదశి (జూలై 6న) ఆదివారం నాడు వచ్చింది. ఈ క్రమంలోనే తెలుగు రాష్ట్రాల్లో ప్రముఖ ఆలయాలకు భక్తులు పోటెత్తారు.
According to Hindu tradition, the first Ekadashi of the Ashada month is known as Tholi Ekadashi – one of the most spiritually significant days in the Vaishnava calendar. On this sacred day, it is believed that Lord Maha Vishnu enters yoga nidra (divine sleep) in the Ksheer Sagar for a period of four months, marking the beginning of Chaturmas – the holy period of penance and devotion.
🗓️ In 2025, Tholi Ekadashi falls on Sunday, July 6th. On this auspicious occasion, devotees in large numbers thronged temples across Telugu states to participate in special pujas, aartis, and darshans. The air was filled with devotion, bhajans, and the spiritual energy of surrender.
