00:00Welcome to WatchMojo, and today we're looking at fights from television that hit the hardest.

00:12To be clear, we won't be including any animated fight scenes or large-scale war battles.

00:2210. Daryl Dixon vs. Beta – The Walking Dead

00:30When the enormous Beta and his fellow Whisperers pursue Daryl Dixon in pursuit of their leader's daughter, Daryl sets up a trap for them in an office building.

00:43While he's able to kill Beta's men easily enough, Beta himself is another matter.

00:48A vicious fight ensues, with both combatants using knives, saws, and 2x4s against each other.

00:54Where is she?

01:00Finally, Daryl manages to use the unfinished construction site to hide, and then surprise Beta, pushing him down an elevator shaft.

01:10It's an epic clash between two of the series' most capable fighters.

01:14If not for the zombie apocalypse, it could have sold out a stadium of viewers.

01:18You know who that asshole was?

01:21Yeah, nobody.

01:229. Sidney Bristow vs. Allison Doran – Alias

01:27Want some?

01:31Sure.

01:33Sidney Bristow and her roommate, Francie, are relaxing at home when the former receives a message identifying Francie as an imposter.

01:41After testing her, Sidney goes to retrieve her gun, but is confronted by Allison, the not-Francie.

01:47I just remembered.

01:50Francie doesn't like coffee ice cream.

01:54No, she doesn't.

01:55The two then engage in a no-holds-barred brawl throughout their house.

01:59Glass, furniture, and probably plenty of bones are broken in the ensuing fight.

02:09Some of the moves are acrobatic and stylized, but most are quick and brutal.

02:14Sidney eventually retrieves her gun to shoot the woman masquerading as her friend.

02:18All in all, it's one of the most intense fights between two women ever put on TV.

02:238. Geralt vs. Renfri's Gang – The Witcher

02:27As the titular Witcher, Geralt of Rivia haunts monsters.

02:32But sometimes, those monsters end up being human, too.

02:35When Renfri threatens to slaughter her way through a town to get at a sorcerer, Geralt decides

02:40to choose the lesser evil and fights her and her gang.

02:43She gave us a message to pass on to you.

02:46You have to choose the lesser evil.

02:48It's an ultimatum.

02:49Get it?

02:51Geralt cuts through her men in increasingly gruesome ways in a continuous shot that's beautifully

02:56executed.

02:57As if that wasn't fantastic enough, he then duels with Renfri herself.

03:02Leave Blaviken.

03:03It's not too late.

03:06Magic doesn't work on me.

03:08Silver does though.

03:11Silver is for monsters.

03:12The matchup between Geralt's greatsword and Renfri's smaller sword and dagger makes for

03:17some great choreography.

03:19Ultimately, though, Geralt is forced to kill her with her own knife.

03:24With its combination of tragedy and bloody action, this fight is a fantastic distillation

03:29of the best parts of The Witcher.

03:39Prison Fight – Reacher The premiere of this action series starts

03:43with a bang.

03:47Titular hero Jack Reacher is stuck in prison for a crime he didn't commit.

03:51Placed among the general population, along with a shifty banker, they're harassed by

03:56several inmates.

03:58Later in the bathroom, they're attacked by a whole gang.

04:01Reacher warns them off before attacking first.

04:04I give you to the count of three.

04:06One.

04:08His methodical, brutal takedowns of each of his foes is a sight to behold.

04:13Bones are broken, heads are smashed into sinks, and eyes are gouged out.

04:17It's overwhelmingly one-sided, but we love it all the same.

04:256.

04:26Melinda May vs Agent 33 – Agents of S.H.I.E.L.E.L.E.L.E.

04:34I'm the only one seeing this right now.

04:36As the woman they call The Cavalry, Melinda May has plenty of great fight scenes in this

04:41show.

04:42But perhaps her greatest fight is with… herself.

04:46Sort of.

04:47After her doppelganger, Agent 33, is exposed, May engages her double in a mirror match in

04:52a hotel room.

04:53It won't go down easy, that makes two of us.

04:57The duo fight all over the room, performing flips to twist out of grips, throwing each

05:02other over counters, and the table slam will never get old.

05:07Speaking of never getting old, does anyone else have a hard time believing actress Ming-Na

05:12Wen was in her 50s here?

05:15Crazy right?

05:16May wins by electrocution, ensuring that Agent 33 looks a little less like her from now on.

05:21The best part about killing you is that I won't have to be you anymore.

05:25If you were really me, you wouldn't talk so much.

05:34Nola Longshadow vs Clay Burton – Banshee

05:37So you're Proctor's big bad watchdog.

05:42You don't look so tough from where I'm standing.

05:44This criminally underrated show is loaded with some of the most brutal fight scenes on

05:48TV.

05:49And this is arguably the best.

05:51Nola Longshadow announces her presence at Kai Proctor's house by throwing a hatchet into

05:56the chest of Proctor's man, Clay Burton.

05:59So here's the plan.

06:01Unwilling to let Nola kill his employer, Burton engages in a vicious fight with her.

06:05The duo grapple in and around Proctor's car, with the camera following them inside it and

06:11moving on top of it.

06:12Both accumulate wounds throughout, yet keep fighting.

06:15Finally, Burton manages to eke out a victory with the most gruesome use of a hood ornament

06:20you'll ever see.

06:21Bloody, well-choreographed and expertly filmed, this fight fires on all cylinders.

06:34Number 4.

06:36School Showdown – Cobra Kai

06:49With the martial arts focus, Cobra Kai features plenty of great fights, but few of them are

06:54as ambitious as this one.

06:56The rivalry between the titular dojo and Miyagi-Do explodes on the first day of school after

07:02Tori calls out Sam over the PA.

07:04Fights between students of the rival karate dojos erupt throughout the hallways.

07:14Each fight has had plenty of build-up and the payoff for each one is fantastic, with plenty

07:20of longer shots featuring multiple fights at once.

07:22It may end in tragedy, but while it lasts, we're every bit as invested as the onlookers.

07:28They may not pay Mr. Palmer enough to intervene, but we'd pay good money to be ringside, as it were.

07:34Screw this, they don't pay me enough.

07:40Number 3.

07:41The Red Viper vs. The Mountain – Game of Thrones

07:45You're going to fight that?

07:52I'm going to kill that.

07:54This epic fantasy series has several notable duels we considered.

07:58Although Brienne's fight with the Hound was a contender, we elected for a fight involving

08:03the latter's brother instead.

08:05To decide the fate of Tyrion Lannister in a trial by combat, Oberyn Martell, a.k.a.

08:11The Red Viper duels Gregor Clegane, a.k.a. The Mountain.

08:14Have they told you who I am?

08:16Some dead man!

08:18I am the brother of Elia Martell.

08:25Oberyn's flashy spear work proves a surprisingly good match against the Mountain's impressive

08:31reach.

08:32He even stabs Clegane several times, getting him on the ground.

08:36Unfortunately, Oberyn wants Clegane to confess to the assault and murder of his sister and

08:41her children, and doesn't make it quick.

08:43You can't die yet, you haven't confessed.

08:46After getting too close, the Mountain obliterates Oberyn's head.

08:50It's a savage, yet well-choreographed fight in a series infamous for graphic violence.

08:55Number 2.

08:56Final Battle – Into the Badlands

08:59No one's going anywhere.

09:00I pull this trigger and this place goes up with all of us inside of it.

09:04I'm ready to die if that's what it takes to end this.

09:07Given its many Wuxia-influenced fight scenes, picking just one fight from this post-apocalyptic

09:13series is difficult.

09:15Although the Widow and the Moon's fight was tempting, there's just no beating the final

09:20conflict of the show.

09:21It doesn't have to end this way.

09:23It will only end with me looking down at your corpse, Sanso.

09:27The last battle of the series involves just about every major character left and lasts

09:32for around ten minutes.

09:33While it's fought on multiple fronts, this gives all the combatants a chance for their

09:37unique fighting styles to be highlighted.

09:39All the character growth and improvement in fighting skills ensures that everyone is at

09:44the top of their games and that Into the Badlands goes out on one incredible high note.

11:34Prison Escape – Daredevil

11:41This could have gone several ways, as Daredevil has several of TV's greatest fight scenes.

11:47The original long-take hallway fight was a game-changer.

11:51The brutality of the Punisher's own fight in prison is plenty memorable, but this fight

11:55is one of the most technically impressive achievements on TV.

12:07Trapped in a prison by the Kingpin during a prison riot, Matt Murdock must escape by fighting

12:12off assassins, warring gangs, and corrupt prison guards.

12:16The entire sequence is filmed in a single uninterrupted take, which makes every hit and stunt that

12:21much more impressive.

12:23No matter how many times we watch it, and that's a lot, we're still left as breathless

12:28as Murdock by its conclusion.
