MSF: Access to healthcare in Sudan 'almost impossible' as attacks on healthcare facilities increase

00:12In a new report, Médecins Sans Frontières, or Doctors Without Borders, said that access
00:17to healthcare is nearly impossible due to systematic attacks.
00:22We call to all warring parties to stop violence against the civilian, health facilities and
00:27civilian infrastructure and to facilitate a large-scale humanitarian response.
00:33Save the Children said that attacks on hospitals had tripled in the first half of this year,
00:39with more than 900 people killed while seeking healthcare.
00:43Hospitals, clinics and ambulances all saw fatal attacks.
00:49We asked to international actors, UN member states and bodies, the states with influence
00:55over the warring parties who provide them military, economic or diplomatic support.
01:00They must use all their leverage to prevent further mass atrocities.
01:06They must place protection of civilians at the core of their engagement with the warring parties.
01:12After more than two years of civil war, 40,000 people have been killed and more than 13 million
01:19displaced.
01:20Those who remain face food insecurity and are exposed to disease.
