00:00I don't know how comfortable I feel with the lack of packaging to contain this apex predator.
00:05Here's your look at the new Mattel Jurassic World Rebirth,
00:08Gigantic Thrashers Tyranno Titan.
00:19This Gigantic Thrashers Tyranno Titan action figure inspired by Jurassic World Rebirth
00:24has two dramatic tail-activated attack motions.
00:27It's a total attack move, the tail up and down for a dramatic head-chomping attack,
00:32and side-to-side for arm-slashing action.
00:35At 3.5 inches long with authentic sculpting, deco, and texture,
00:40this articulated large-species dinosaur toy is ready for battle play or fierce posing.
00:45I don't really know how close you want to get to this theropod.
00:47You know, with all that tail thrashing that's going to happen.
00:49Before we start thrashing anything, let's start measuring things first.
00:53I'm going to take this heat measure of mine, and reluctantly, I'm going to get closer to the beast.
00:56I'm going to measure from the end of its tail to the front of its snout, and wish me luck.
01:01Let's do that first, though, in inches.
01:03From the end of its tail to the front of its snout,
01:06Tyranno Titan is quite impressive, actually, at 13 inches in length,
01:10or roughly about 33 centimeters long.
01:13Then, from the bottom of its feet to the top of its head,
01:16you're then looking at the Tyranno Titan being 5.5 of that,
01:20or roughly 13 centimeters tall.
01:22In my recent excursion to Walmart, not only did I pick up Tyranno Titan,
01:26but I also managed to pick up the Utah Raptor, which we've already had a look at.
01:30From the length of the two creatures,
01:32I would say, obviously, though, that Tyranno Titan is just a tad bit longer.
01:36When you have them, though, side by side, I would say they're probably similar size.
01:40I don't know if that is really correct.
01:42I feel like Tyranno Titan would be considerably bigger, though, than the Utah Raptor
01:45if we were to come across these things in real life.
01:49And believe me, I wouldn't want to come across these things in real life.
01:52Tyranno Titan, one of the notable things about this dinosaur was it had abnormally small arms.
01:58Yet, though, the figure that we're getting presented here by Mattel has,
02:01I would say, averagely sized dino arms.
02:05It doesn't have any sound features, though, but what it does have is tail thrashing attacks.
02:09Before we actually, again, start moving anything around for the Tyranno Titan,
02:13let's get, though, a closer look at his face.
02:15Now, where maybe I felt like the paint was a little disappointing on the Utah Raptor,
02:19I'm not as disappointed, though, with what the paint job we got here were, of course, Tyranno Titans.
02:24There's a lot of good uses of bright colors.
02:26Considering, though, you're getting a dinosaur that's primarily a kind of very military swamp green
02:31with some darker greens across, obviously, the tops of its spine,
02:34it manages to pull off a rather interesting-looking head.
02:38Contributing to that would be likely all the orange that they put on its undergullet.
02:42Now, they've added some orange striping there on the side,
02:45bright orange eyes, and the yellow on the underside of its mouth.
02:49The mouth does open wide,
02:51and inside,
02:53inside, though, you can make out that the dinosaur does have very soft teeth.
02:57It seems, though, to be a trend that they're doing now with the dinosaurs.
03:00I don't really remember the old Jurassic toys having soft teeth.
03:04I guess for the risk of possibly chomping down
03:07in some poor child's finger,
03:08maybe that's one of the reasons why they made the teeth as soft as they do.
03:12I mean, the top of the teeth are soft as well.
03:14It can be saved for the bottom.
03:16You can see, though, inside, it does have a tongue.
03:18I actually like that the tongue has a little more of a slick look to it,
03:21so it looks like it's wet with saliva.
03:24By no means.
03:25This is not how I would really recommend going as close to this to a dinosaur.
03:29I always really wanted to come across a dinosaur.
03:31If I could ever travel back in time
03:32before you start telling me anything about the butterfly effect,
03:35you know, again, if you squash something in the past,
03:37it could drastically change the course of time in the present,
03:40but I would love it if I had the chance to kind of go back.
03:43I wouldn't want to hunt these things,
03:44just kind of see them from a safe enough distance.
03:47Now, the thing that's also really interesting also about the Tyrannotitan
03:50was the fact of its design of teeth.
03:53Now, with the teeth that we're seeing here with the toy,
03:55it's obviously not really going to properly be reflecting this,
03:58but what was rather interesting, though,
03:59about the Tyrannotitan was it had denticles.
04:03Now, denticles, basically what that is,
04:05is each of the teeth had sort of like little lifted pieces to them.
04:10So, like, kind of picture like a stalagmite.
04:13A stalagmite isn't a smooth rock.
04:15It's got some jagged edges to it.
04:17Tyrannot had that similar feature,
04:18so when it bit down on its prey,
04:21the little dentures,
04:23the little denticles that it would have on its teeth
04:25would help kind of gnaw away at its food.
04:27So, while it may have had very, very small arms,
04:30I don't think this properly reflects
04:31how small the arms would normally be.
04:33It did have a pretty interesting thing with its bite.
04:36Speaking of the bite, though,
04:38it does a lot more than what it's doing right now.
04:40I mean, we'll kind of look at that more in a moment.
04:41There's not really much, though,
04:43in the way of posability on this.
04:44I mean, other than really, I would say, just the legs.
04:46The legs are about the only thing you can do,
04:47and then you can also turn the feet around.
04:50Most of it really is relying on its gimmick.
04:53One thing I had noticed, though,
04:54is that the arms are very loose.
04:56They have to be loose, too,
04:57because the arms will move on their own.
05:00Speaking, though, of which,
05:01you can see that they haven't gone in there
05:03and once again painted the nails.
05:05Maybe they're a little bit darker
05:06than the rest of the skin.
05:07Maybe they've done a little bit better of a job,
05:09but I still really feel like
05:10they need to make the nails darker
05:12on these dinosaurs,
05:13just because there's so much really plastic
05:15that goes into making these.
05:16I will say, though,
05:17like the darker green
05:18that they've used for the top of this,
05:19all along with the spikes it has on its scales.
05:22Again, you've got the pattern work
05:24that goes all the way down
05:24to the bottom of the tail.
05:25And I really like also the way
05:26they've sculpted a tail, too.
05:27It's not just a regular smooth, slick tail.
05:30It's sort of got these birds
05:31on the ends of it.
05:33You would imagine this thing
05:33would probably be lashing
05:34that thing around as well.
05:36But to lash anything, though,
05:37what we're going to be doing, though,
05:38is we're going to take the tail.
05:40And when you do it,
05:40it actually works in two ways.
05:42Now, there's not going to be
05:43any sound effects.
05:43That was for the Utah Raptor.
05:45What you're going to get, though,
05:46instead is the gigantic thrashing effect.
05:49What it does, though,
05:50is there's a hinge right here for the tail.
05:51So you're just basically going to
05:53bring the tail up and down.
05:54When you do that, though,
05:56you can see it snaps.
05:58Snaps.
05:59I think that's really cool.
06:01I mean, where have we progressed
06:02when it comes to dino toys?
06:04As a kid, I would have never
06:04had toys like this.
06:06So it's really fun.
06:07Now, again, like there's not really
06:08a whole lot you can do
06:08with the rest of the figure's body,
06:10but that it does do this
06:11with the mouth and the tail.
06:13I think that's pretty cool.
06:14Where the arms, though,
06:15come into effect
06:15is that if you take the tail
06:17and instead of moving up
06:18and down this way,
06:19windshield wiper that baby
06:20back and forth.
06:21When you do that,
06:23now all of a sudden
06:23you've got the arms
06:24moving back and forth as well.
06:26If you combine those two things,
06:28if I properly get my arms
06:29out of the way,
06:30if you combine those two things,
06:31though, you can see
06:32how it not only snaps its mouth,
06:34but also moves its arms as well.
06:37I don't really miss,
06:38I don't feel like it necessarily
06:38needed to have audio clips.
06:40I always really thought
06:41it was cool that Mattel
06:42would kind of do
06:42two distinct versions
06:44of their dinosaurs.
06:45So if you did really want
06:46the audio clips,
06:46you can always go the route
06:47of more of the Utah Raptor.
06:48This has more of the fun
06:49play feature I find
06:51by just having a feature
06:52like where you'd be able
06:52to move the tail around.
06:53You don't have to worry
06:54about obnoxious sounds,
06:55bothering yourself,
06:56bothering your parents.
06:57This is just a fun little dinosaur.
06:59I say not little,
07:00I mean like the Tyrannotitan.
07:01It was an apex predator
07:02for its time.
07:03Yeah, it's not an overly
07:05expensive dinosaur either.
07:07I mean, I think when I got this
07:08at Walmart,
07:08I probably paid,
07:09I would like to maybe say
07:11like $20.
07:12Maybe it was a little bit more
07:13than the Utah Raptor.
07:14Maybe they worked out
07:15to be about the same price.
07:16I kind of wanted,
07:17at least when it came
07:17to these dinosaurs
07:18and the new upcoming
07:19Jurassic World Rebirth.
07:21I kind of want to start
07:22a little smaller,
07:23work my way up progressively
07:24getting to the larger,
07:25bigger beasts like Spinosaurus.
07:27But I think like there's
07:28certainly something to be said
07:29about the smaller dinosaurs
07:30where they maybe
07:31don't have the mass.
07:33They also don't have
07:34the higher price point either.
07:35Getting these things
07:36for less than $30 a piece,
07:38yes, they do have
07:39individual features
07:40that are very distinct
07:41from one another,
07:42but at least from a standpoint
07:44of buying these,
07:45you're not paying
07:45a whole lot to pick them up.
07:47$30 for a dinosaur
07:48that moves its tail
07:49and snaps and lashes its face.
07:51I think it's fantastic.
07:52I think that's fun.
07:54I think that's one
07:54of the reasons
07:55why Jurassic World toys
07:56have always been popular
07:57with kids
07:57and adult collectors as well.
08:00Tyrannotitans were one
08:01of the largest
08:01and most powerful theropods
08:03in the Cretaceous period.
08:04But does that mean though
08:05the Tyrannotitan
08:06will in fact
08:07make an appearance
08:07in the Jurassic World
08:08Rebirth film?
08:10Hollywood tends to glorify
08:11their carnivores,
08:12not giving nearly enough love
08:13for the herbivores.
08:14The herbivores usually
08:15are just the things
08:15that are being attacked.
08:16With the thing being
08:17an apex predator like this,
08:19it would be safe
08:20to assume
08:21that we're going to be seeing
08:21at least some screen time
08:23for one of the more dangerous
08:24and yet one of the smallest
08:26armed dinosaurs,
08:27again,
08:28of the Cretaceous period.
08:29Now,
08:29if you guys are interested
08:30and would like to get
08:31the gigantic Thrashers
08:32Tyrannotitan for yourself,
08:34it's available right now
08:35in stores or online.
08:37I noticed that Walmart
08:38not only is stocking these
08:39well in stores in Canada,
08:40but also too,
08:41you can go to walmart.ca.
08:42I say .ca
08:43because I'm a Canadian collector
08:44or you can, I'm sure,
08:45go walmart.com.
08:46They seem to be stocking
08:47quite a lot of dinosaurs
08:48on there as well.
08:49That also seems to be
08:50a good place too
08:51to get an idea
08:52of upcoming releases.
08:54They're going to be doing
08:54a monstrous-sized Tyrannosaurus.
08:57Definitely looking forward
08:58to get my hands on that one
08:59when it eventually gets released.
09:01What do you guys think
09:01of Tyrannotitan?
09:03Let me know down below
09:03in the comment section.
09:05Do you also feel like
09:06this dinosaur will,
09:07in fact,
09:07make an appearance?
09:08It probably won't just be
09:09a cameo dinosaur
09:10that you're just going to see
09:11in the background.
09:13Certainly, though,
09:13if you guys did enjoy this video,
