00:00oh hello my dear friends today is a day filled with great celebration pride and joy but have
00:27you ever wondered how this day came to be well I'm sure that's what you're here to learn so in
00:34today's episode let's travel back in time and uncover the fascinating history of American
00:41Independence Day zoom in once upon a time the great land of America was a collection of colonies
00:51ruled by the British Empire though these colonies were growing rapidly however their growth came with
00:59a sense of injustice as the British government treated the people unfairly by imposing heavy
01:06taxes on everyday items like tea sugar paper etc and the local colonists had no say in these decisions
01:16on top of that British soldiers were stationed in their homes a practice known as quartering
01:25that required the colonists to provide food lodging and other accommodations to the soldiers this
01:33intrusion into their homes and personal space made the colonists feel like their privacy was being
01:40violated and their rights were being infringed upon as a result the brave colonists decided to protest
01:49against these unfair practices and began to demand freedom and fair treatment they wanted to have a
01:57say in how their own government worked and make choices that would shape their own destiny and be in
02:05charge of their own lives but the Britishers won't giving up without a fight and imposed stricter rules to
02:15control the growing resistance and as tensions escalated a group of brave freedom fighters like George
02:23Washington Thomas Jefferson and Benjamin Franklin emerged as leaders and dedicated their lives to the cause of
02:32independence they organized meetings and discussions rallying their fellow colonists to stand up against the
02:41British rule but the colonists soon realized that simply fighting wasn't enough to achieve their goals they
02:50understood the importance of declaring their independence in writing to explain their reasons and seek support from
02:58other nations this led to a significant event on July 4th 1776 when a group of
03:07representatives known as the Continental Congress adopted the declaration of
03:13independence the declaration of independence was a document drafted by a committee led by Thomas Jefferson it was an
03:24important statement that expressed the colonists desire to be free from British rule people from all 13
03:32colonies put their signatures on this historic document demonstrating the unity and commitment to the cause of
03:40independence however the British government did not accept the declaration leading to further struggles
03:48undeterred the colonists continued their fight for independence they faced numerous challenges and
03:57hardships but remained resilient in their pursuit of freedom the revolutionary war which had been ongoing
04:05since 1775 intensified as the colonists rallied together against the powerful British forces through their
04:15determination courage and sacrifices they ultimately achieved victory over Great Britain in 1783 and since then
04:26Independence Day is celebrated every year on July 4th to remember the brave colonists who fought for freedom and
04:33honor the principles of Liberty and equality that form from the bedrock of the United States of America
