00:00Talk about the tale of two NCR cities in their approach on a tropical depression whose strength has just been upgraded to alert signal number one
00:07and which has put certain residents of Navota City on edge with the flood wall and navigational floodgate
00:12still on demand after sustaining damage from last week's torrential rains in Valley City or Shoe Country,
00:18Marikina residents living near the river are still without worry or dread on Pag-Aza's latest weather forecast
00:23as we hear more from our Arisaya Mayor Fuentes.
00:26The family of Rodelio has been living in Navotas for a decade.
00:31According to him, flooding is nothing new to them anymore.
00:35He said that even when his child, Ravi, was still young, they were already experiencing floods.
00:40This is because they lived near the Navotas River.
00:56Every time there's a storm, floodwaters usually enter their home.
01:01Last week, the Navota City was submerged again due to the damage to their navigational floodgate in a portion of the city's flood wall.
01:08Because this tour is still unrepaired, residents are deeply concerned whenever there's a storm.
01:14Early this morning at 2 a.m., the low-pressure area from yesterday turned into a tropical depression and was named Bising.
01:21In Pag-Aza's 11 a.m. forecast, tropical depression Bising is slightly intensified while it was over the waters west of extreme northern Luzon.
01:30Signal number one was raised for several areas in northern Luzon.
01:35This is in the western portion of Babuyan Island, western portion of the Locos Norte, and northwestern portion of the Locos Sur.
01:41At 2 o'clock in the afternoon, tropical depression Bising excited the Philippine area of responsibility or PAR.
01:48As of 5 p.m., it was located 345 kilometers west-northwest of Calayan, Cagayan.
01:54However, there is a possibility that it could re-enter the PAR by early Monday morning, but it will also quickly exit.
02:01Pag-Aza remains confident it will no longer have any severe impact on the country, and no landfall scenario is expected anymore.
02:08There is still a chance of rain in Metro Manila until Tuesday, but the weather in other parts of Luzon is expected to improve,
02:15although localized thunderstorms in the afternoon are still possible.
02:20In Visayas, rain is possible in western Visayas.
02:23And in Mindanao, partly cloudy skies in the morning, with possible localized thunderstorms in the evening may be experienced.
02:30Isaiah Mirafuentes from the National TV Network for a new and better Philippines.
