00:00Philippine Coast Guard or PCG spokesperson for the West Philippine Sea, Commodore J. Tariela has formally filed a cyber-liable complaint against vlogger Alan Troy Regando Sasot, more popularly known as Sas Sasot.
00:13The complaint was filed at the Manila Prosecutor's Office where Commodore Tariela is seeking 1.25 million pesos in damages.
00:19According to the Movement Against Disinformation or MAD, which represents Commodore Tariela, Sasot allegedly published a series of defamatory statements from July to October 2024 through her accounts on Facebook and ex-formally Twitter.
00:33The post allegedly contained false and malicious accusations implicating Commodore Tariela in bribery, corruption, dishonesty and misconduct.
00:41Among the accusations, according to Commodore Tariela, are claims that he cheated at the Philippine Military Academy, received a $4 million talent fee from the United States, and was given bags of money by House Speaker Martin Romualdez.
00:53The official has strongly denied all allegations asserting that they are baseless and completely untrue.
