00:00Hello and welcome, I'm Geeta Mohan and you're watching World Today.
00:18News breaking at the top of this bulletin.
00:21Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump spoke over the phone.
00:26That's news that's just coming in. Details are out.
00:30Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov confirmed that the telephone conversation took place
00:35and that Kremlin would be briefing.
00:37It was President Trump who announced on his social media platform Truth Social
00:41that he would be speaking to the Russian President.
00:44Now the conversation between the two leaders lasted for almost an hour.
00:49It's being told Putin noted Russia's readiness to continue the negotiation process with Ukraine.
00:55There's a lot of conversation on how to end that war
00:59and Donald Trump wants to play peacemaker, broker a ceasefire between the two countries.
01:05Specific dates for the third round of talks in Istanbul were not discussed.
01:10We have a lot of details that are coming in.
01:12But all this when Putin told Trump that Russia will not back down from its goals
01:17to eliminate the causes of the conflict in Ukraine,
01:20that's what the aid of Russian President Ushakov said to the media.
01:27Putin had left earlier from a plenary session of the strong ideas for a new time forum in a hurry.
01:35He announced that he's going to have a phone call with the US President
01:38listening to what he had to say while he was leaving the forum.
01:42My colleague Pranay Upadhyay joins me for more on this Pranay big news.
02:09A Putin-Trump conversation over the Russia-Ukraine war details of which have emerged.
02:16Explain to us where is this headed.
02:19Certainly it is heading toward the resolution of Russia-Ukraine war.
02:23But you know how this Russia-Ukraine war will end.
02:26This we do not know as yet because Donald Trump and President Putin
02:30both had about an hour-long phone conversation
02:33in which Russia expressed the commitment for having a dialogue with the Ukrainians
02:38but not resolving with any compromise per se.
02:42And also he expressed that the process is going to be a bilateral thing.
02:46He has expressed his willingness to participate in the dialogue process
02:51which is called the Istanbul, the third round of the Istanbul dialogue process.
02:55But as far as the Ukraine issue is concerned
02:59he expressed that he is not going to relinquish the land
03:03or like you know going for any compromise.
03:06So certainly this leads to another chapter
03:10where we do not know that how it is going to end
03:13and how President Donald Trump who is so committed
03:16to end the Russia-Ukraine conflict
03:18and have a role of him in the mediation process
03:21is going to pan out
03:22and you know logically conclude in it.
03:25So these are the contours of it.
03:27But when President Putin and President Trump had a phone call
03:30they also spoke about the Iran conflict
03:33the Middle East conflict process
03:34and they also both agreed
03:36that there should be a dialogue process
03:38to end the conflict
03:39and reduce the tensions in the Middle East.
03:42Well Pranay thank you so much for these inputs
03:45but stay on with us.
03:46There's another big story that we've been covering
03:48and tracking since yesterday
03:50and that has to do with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's
03:53five-country, two-continent tour.
03:56Prime Minister Narendra Modi concluded
03:58the first leg of his five-nation tour.
04:01He left Ghana for Trinidad and Tobago.
04:05That is his second stop.
04:06He will hold talks with the President
04:08and the Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago.
04:11Discuss strengthening of bilateral relations in Port of Spain.
04:14Prime Minister Modi is expected to address
04:16a joint session of Parliament of Trinidad and Tobago
04:20and also scheduled to address the Indian diaspora.
04:23During his visit to Ghana
04:25Prime Minister Modi was also conferred
04:27with the Officer of the Order of the Star of Ghana
04:29the country's highest civilian honour
04:32by President John Mahama.
04:34During his meeting with the top leadership
04:36the two countries elevated their ties
04:38to a comprehensive partnership
04:39emphasising scope in areas of critical minerals,
04:43defence, maritime security and energy.
04:45He welcomed India and the songs,
05:04the culture of India quite visible.
05:07Hare Rama, Hare Krishna,
05:09the music of Jai Ho,
05:11all of that and more.
05:12But he is now on his way to Trinidad and Tobago.
05:15What's going to happen over there?
05:17A lot of Bhojpuri, if I'm not wrong.
05:19Pranay, if I could bring you in on this one.
05:22A lot of Bihar connect
05:25when he is going to be in Trinidad and Tobago.
05:28What's on the agenda?
05:30What is Prime Minister Narendra Modi
05:31really going to do?
05:33We saw a lot of connect,
05:34a lot of cultural ties
05:35that he emphasised on
05:37and particularly democracy.
05:39What's he going to do now?
05:40You're absolutely right, Gita.
05:42Trinidad and Tobago,
05:43a small country in the Caribbean,
05:46has this very strong relation with India.
05:48You can very well assess it
05:52by the very fact that
05:54out of 14 lakh population
05:56of Trinidad and Tobago,
05:57around 40 to 45% are of Indian origin.
06:00As you rightly pointed out,
06:01that Bihar or Eastern UP connect
06:03of Trinidad and Tobago
06:04is very evident and very strong
06:06because Bhojpuri is not only spoken there,
06:09both Prime Minister and President
06:11are of Indian origin
06:12and both are women,
06:14state of head and state of government
06:15in Trinidad and Tobago.
06:17And the importance of Trinidad and Tobago's relation
06:19is not only the cultural ties
06:21or civilizational ties with India,
06:24but also with the fact
06:25that this is an important democracy
06:28with which India want to forge more,
06:30like, you know,
06:31stronger relationship
06:32in coming times.
06:34And that's why Prime Minister Narendra Modi
06:35is taking, you know,
06:37a visit,
06:38a very important visit.
06:39And we can say that
06:40this is this century's first visit
06:42to Trinidad and Tobago
06:43by any Indian Prime Minister.
06:45So Prime Minister Narendra Modi
06:46is likely to reach about,
06:47in a few hours,
06:48in Trinidad and Tobago port of Spain
06:50where he'll be received.
06:51He will also address
06:53the joint session of the parliament
06:56as he addressed
06:56the joint session of parliament
06:58in Ghana
06:58and in Trinidad and Tobago.
07:02He will also be
07:03having a diaspora meeting
07:05as we know that
07:07there is a very strong
07:08diaspora connect
07:09with Trinidad and Tobago.
07:10And also,
07:11that is a country
07:12with,
07:13where the Indian UPI
07:14also works.
07:15So,
07:15even the,
07:16not only the old ties
07:18are there
07:18with Trinidad and Tobago,
07:19but also,
07:20in terms of the future relationship,
07:22the future ties
07:23with Trinidad and Tobago
07:24are also important
07:26and that's why India
07:27is heavily investing
07:28in Trinidad and Tobago
07:29in terms of the
07:30digital public infrastructure,
07:32in terms of the,
07:33in terms of economic activities.
07:36And India really want
07:37to contribute constructively
07:38in the development process
07:40of Trinidad and Tobago
07:41to strengthen the old ties
07:43and renew the new bond.
07:47Well, Pranit,
07:47thank you so much
07:48for joining us
07:49from Bhojpuri beats
07:50to billion dollar deals.
07:51We'll be tracking
07:52all the developments
07:54coming in
07:55from Trinidad and Tobago.
08:01As intensive debate
08:02on the big,
08:03beautiful bill continues,
08:04U.S. minority leader
08:05of the House of Representatives,
08:08Hakeem Jeffries,
08:09filibusted for eight hours
08:10and now is trying
08:12to stall the final voting.
08:14It continues.
08:15Donald Trump's
08:16huge budget bill
08:17is being debated
08:18before the final voting
08:19in the U.S. House
08:20of Representatives.
08:21Democratic minority
08:22House leader,
08:23Hakeem Jeffries,
08:24used the magic minute
08:25before the final voting.
08:28Trump wants
08:28his big,
08:29beautiful bill
08:29passed by Friday,
08:31but the Congress
08:32is concerned
08:33over its impact
08:33on national debt
08:35and health care.
08:36The multi-trillion dollar bill
08:38would benefit businesses
08:39and corporates,
08:40manufacturers,
08:41and the high-income Americans.
08:44It will be worse
08:44for low-income Americans,
08:46Medicaid beneficiaries,
08:48and for deficit hawks.
08:51It had been my hope,
08:54Mr. Speaker,
08:57that we'd be able
08:59to have a robust debate,
09:01passionate support,
09:05or passionate opposition,
09:06in connection
09:09with this bill.
09:12That hundreds of members
09:14on both sides
09:14of the aisle
09:15could participate,
09:17and instead,
09:18we have a limited debate
09:20where the relevant committees
09:25of jurisdiction
09:26have been given
09:2715 minutes each
09:28on a bill
09:32of such significant magnitude
09:34as it relates
09:35to the health,
09:37the safety,
09:37and the well-being
09:38of the American people.
09:42And because that debate
09:44was so limited,
09:49I feel the obligation,
09:51Mr. Speaker,
09:52to stand on this House floor
09:53and take my sweet time
09:57to tell the stories
10:00of the American people.
10:04And that's exactly
10:05what I intend to do.
10:06Well, that's the news
10:10that's just coming in.
10:11Big, beautiful bill debate
10:13continues.
10:14It's ongoing.
10:16Hakeem Jeffries,
10:17minority leader
10:18of the U.S. House
10:19of Representatives,
10:20is filibustering
10:21as we speak,
10:23not allowing voting
10:24to begin.
10:25It just seems like
10:26they're trying to stall
10:27the voting
10:28to ensure
10:29that the bill
10:30does not go through
10:31and then reaches
10:32the White House.
10:33The U.S. President
10:35had earlier said
10:36that it is time
10:37that everybody votes
10:38for the bill,
10:38especially the Republicans.
10:40It would be ridiculous
10:41for the Republicans
10:42not to vote
10:43for this bill.
10:45But Hakeem Jeffries,
10:47and I quote him,
10:48says,
10:49I will take my sweet time.
10:50Rohit Sharma,
10:51my colleague,
10:52joins me from
10:52Washington, D.C.
10:53Rohit, interesting.
10:55He used the magic minute
10:58and is filibustering
11:00as we speak.
11:01What happens
11:01to the bill?
11:04Well, look,
11:04this is one of those
11:05provisions that allows
11:06the minority leader
11:07to take the floor
11:08as long as he wants to.
11:10You rightly pointed out
11:11he could be going
11:11for a record here.
11:12I mean,
11:12the last record
11:13was set for 8 hours
11:14and 23 minutes,
11:15if I'm mistaken.
11:16It was done by
11:17Kevin McCarthy
11:17in 2021.
11:19So this is a last-ditch effort
11:21to delay the bill.
11:23And meanwhile,
11:24on the parallelly,
11:26Democrats are calling
11:27their constituents
11:27to call some of
11:29the Republican congressmen
11:30to switch their votes.
11:31So I think this is
11:31the last bit of
11:32posturing,
11:33so to say,
11:35trying to get some
11:35headlines out of the speech.
11:37But Republicans
11:38are confident.
11:39Johnson,
11:40Speaker Johnson,
11:40is very confident
11:41that they have the votes
11:42and they will be able
11:43to table the bill
11:45as soon as
11:45Jeffries concludes
11:46his speech
11:47and get this bill
11:48to President Desk
11:49so that he could sign this
11:51on July 4th
11:52as promised
11:52by President Trump.
11:55Well,
11:55again,
11:56there is a 4th of July
11:58deadline
11:58that the President
11:59has set.
12:00Not that it is a deadline
12:01after which the bill
12:03will cease to exist,
12:04but it's a deadline
12:04for President Trump.
12:06Do you think
12:07Jeffries will manage
12:09to ensure
12:10that that does not happen?
12:12Well,
12:12he can keep talking
12:14for as long
12:14as he wants.
12:15I mean,
12:16last I checked,
12:16he's only had
12:17one loop break,
12:18so we'll have to wait
12:19and watch how he's able
12:20to do that.
12:21But I think,
12:22you know,
12:22in all reality,
12:25I think the speech
12:26has to end
12:27at some point,
12:27Gita.
12:28And I think
12:29you've got to,
12:30you know,
12:30sort of look
12:32at the Republicans
12:32and we always say
12:33this in Washington,
12:34D.C.,
12:34that Republicans
12:35always fall in line.
12:36There were four
12:37big holdout votes
12:38up until midnight
12:39last night
12:40and this morning
12:41they were able
12:42to convince them,
12:43the White House
12:43were able to convince
12:44them to vote
12:44on the Republican line.
12:46So I think,
12:46you know,
12:46I think it is
12:47a foregone conclusion
12:48at this point in time.
12:49He could delay it
12:50by another hour,
12:50two or three hours,
12:51but the bill
12:52will be passed
12:53and Donald Trump
12:54will sign it,
12:55either tonight
12:55or tomorrow.
12:57Well,
12:58also,
12:58just quickly,
12:59Rohit,
12:59when the filibustering
13:01is happening,
13:02there's also
13:02a lot of engagement,
13:03backroom conversations
13:04and backroom channels
13:05that open up
13:06to ensure that
13:07those Republicans
13:08who had sided
13:10against the bill
13:11are talked back
13:14into not voting
13:15for the bill.
13:16Do you think
13:17that's what
13:17the Democrats
13:18are doing right now?
13:19They're trying.
13:20They definitely
13:20are trying,
13:21Gita,
13:21and that's what
13:22happens in the clock room.
13:23You know,
13:23you try to corner
13:24some of these
13:24holdout votes
13:25and try to convince them.
13:27But I think
13:27our understanding
13:28at this point
13:28is that President Trump
13:29has in the White House
13:30convinced them
13:31of ensuring
13:33that their concerns
13:34are taken care of.
13:35Some will be taken care of
13:37by the executive orders,
13:38but Democrats
13:39are certainly hoping
13:40that if they could,
13:41you know,
13:42make it more difficult
13:43for Republicans
13:43to pass this bill,
13:45I think that would be
13:45a win for them.
13:46But as I said,
13:47I think they've lined up
13:48all the votes,
13:49they've counted the numbers
13:49multiple times,
13:50and as soon as the bill
13:52is tabled,
13:52it will definitely pass today.
13:55Right, Rohit Sharma,
13:56thank you so much
13:56for joining me.
13:57You keep a tab
13:59on what's happening
14:00there in the House,
14:02and we'll keep
14:02dipping into you
14:03as and when news breaks.
14:05Hamas and Israel
14:11staked out their positions
14:12ahead of expected talks
14:13on a Washington-backed
14:15ceasefire proposal
14:16with the Hamas
14:18suggesting it was open
14:19to an agreement
14:20while the Israeli
14:21Prime Minister,
14:22Prime Minister Netanyahu,
14:23vowed that there will be
14:25no Hamas
14:25in post-war Gaza.
14:27Israeli Prime Minister
14:33Benjamin Netanyahu
14:34was speaking
14:35at the Europe-Asia
14:36Pipeline Company
14:37Limited Facilities
14:39in Ashkelon,
14:40warned that Israel
14:41would completely
14:42eliminate Hamas
14:43and that there will
14:44be no Hamas-tan.
14:50I'm telling you,
14:51there will be no Hamas.
14:53There will be no Hamas-tan.
14:54We are not going back
14:55to that.
14:56It's over.
14:57We will free
14:58all our hostages.
14:59Oh, come on.
15:00How can you say that?
15:02Those are two conflicting goals.
15:04What nonsense.
15:05It works together.
15:07We will accomplish it together,
15:09contrary to what people say.
15:10We will eliminate
15:11them completely.
15:14His remark comes day
15:16after US President
15:17Donald Trump
15:18announced that Israel
15:19agreed to a
15:2060-day ceasefire plan
15:22in Gaza.
15:24Netanyahu's stern statement
15:25came as the Hamas said,
15:27it was considering
15:28a new proposal
15:29for a ceasefire.
15:30In a statement,
15:31Hamas said
15:32its aim was to reach
15:34an agreement
15:34that would stop the war
15:36and lead to Israel
15:37withdrawing its forces
15:38from Gaza.
15:39While on the other hand,
15:41Israeli foreign minister
15:42said that his country
15:43was serious about
15:44reaching a deal
15:45with the Palestinian
15:47with the Palestinian Hamas
15:47group to end the war.
15:49Hamas still holds
15:5150 of our hostages
15:52in crew captivity.
15:55The war can end tomorrow
15:56if it releases them
15:59and lays down its arms.
16:01We are serious
16:03in our will
16:03to reach a hostage deal
16:05and a ceasefire.
16:06Meanwhile,
16:11family members
16:11of Israeli hostages
16:13protested in Tel Aviv
16:14calling for a ceasefire
16:16with Hamas
16:16and the release
16:17of the remaining
16:1850 people
16:19still held captive
16:20in Gaza.
16:21They also called
16:22for the government
16:22to end the war
16:23in Gaza.
16:23I think that there
16:25is no ceasefire
16:26until the tanks
16:28and guns
16:29and RPGs
16:31stop firing.
16:32That's when
16:33there's a ceasefire,
16:34not when someone
16:36makes a public statement.
16:38We understand
16:40that President Trump
16:41is very, very engaged
16:44in bringing an end
16:45to the war in Gaza
16:46and returning
16:47the hostages.
16:49But I live in Israel.
16:51I'm a citizen of Israel.
16:53My government
16:53in Israel
16:54needs to be
16:55at least that engaged
16:58and more engaged.
16:59It is our responsibility
17:02to stop the war
17:04and return the hostages.
17:07If our Prime Minister
17:08is traveling
17:08to the United States
17:09next week,
17:10it must only be
17:12to announce
17:13a ceasefire,
17:15end of the war
17:15and the hostages
17:17returning,
17:17not one by one,
17:19not eight by eight,
17:20not ten by ten,
17:22all 50 hostages.
17:23hostages must come home.
17:27Netanyahu's trip
17:28to the U.S.
17:29next week
17:29will likely include
17:30further discussions
17:31with Trump
17:32on a possible
17:33Gaza ceasefire
17:34and a deal
17:35and a deal
17:35to release hostages
17:36held by Hamas.
17:38With Neha Kumari,
17:39Bureau Report,
17:40India Today.
17:41While the Israeli Prime Minister
17:47has rejected
17:48any proposal
17:50by the United States
17:51of America
17:51for a ceasefire,
17:53the humanitarian crisis
17:55in Gaza continues.
17:57I spoke with a renowned journalist
17:59and author from Tel Aviv,
18:01Gideon Levy.
18:02And this is what he had to say
18:03about what Israel
18:05is doing in Gaza.
18:06Listen in.
18:06The one who is accountable
18:10to this
18:11is a criminal
18:11of war
18:12and those are
18:14the decision makers
18:15of Israel
18:16from the prime ministers
18:17through the heads
18:18of the army.
18:20It's not only about food,
18:21it's also about medicines.
18:23People are dying
18:24by dozens
18:25because of lack
18:26of medical treatment
18:27and lack of medicine.
18:29They are dying
18:31because Israel
18:31is bombing
18:32the hospitals
18:34in Gaza
18:34with all kinds
18:35of excuses.
18:37Most of them
18:38are based on lies.
18:40This is unforgivable
18:42and it is really
18:44the task,
18:44the role
18:45of the international community
18:46to do something
18:48about it.
18:49It's impossible
18:50that this catastrophe
18:52will continue
18:53and the world
18:54will stay
18:55its side
18:56and do nothing
18:57about it.
18:58I'm not speaking
18:59about demonstrations.
19:00I'm not speaking
19:01about protests
19:02and petitions.
19:04The world
19:05should take
19:05some measures
19:06because this
19:07lotter is going on
19:08by the time
19:09we are talking now.
19:10Whatever you have done
19:12for fighting
19:13apartheid
19:14in South Africa,
19:15do the same.
19:17It was very effective
19:18then.
19:19Do the same.
19:20Isolate,
19:21boycott,
19:22whatever it is
19:23will make
19:25the Israelis
19:26accountable
19:26for what they are doing
19:27and pay a price
19:29for it.
19:30There is no other way.
19:31They will not
19:32voluntarily put an end
19:33to all those
19:34atrocities and crimes.
19:36It will happen
19:36only if they
19:38will be forced
19:39to do so.
19:40And the only way
19:41to do it
19:42is exactly
19:43like South Africa.
19:45When the South
19:47African
19:47couldn't play
19:48rugby
19:49in the world,
19:50it was the beginning
19:51of the end.
19:52When the business
19:53people of South Africa
19:55came to the government
19:56and told them
19:57we cannot go on
19:58like this.
19:59It was the beginning
19:59of the end
20:00of the apartheid.
20:02Same will be valid
20:04about Israel
20:04and the occupation.
20:08This is just part
20:09of the entire
20:11interview
20:11that I've done
20:12and you can watch
20:13the full interview
20:14on India Today Global.
20:15It's a fantastic,
20:16brilliant interview
20:17on how
20:18some Israelis
20:20are viewing
20:20Israeli action
20:21in Gaza.
20:22But let's go
20:23across to Gaza itself.
20:24Gada Al-Kurd,
20:26a journalist
20:26from Gaza,
20:28is joining me
20:28to discuss
20:29how journalists
20:31are not safe.
20:32All international
20:33norms have been
20:34violated.
20:35Gada,
20:36I can't say
20:37stay safe,
20:38are you safe
20:38or will you be safe
20:39because these
20:40are all empty words.
20:42What you've seen
20:42in the past months
20:44and what's happening
20:45in Gaza,
20:46the uncertainty
20:46of life itself
20:48speaks.
20:49But let's just
20:50speak about
20:51and ask you
20:51how's the situation
20:52on the ground
20:53right now?
20:57Well,
20:58we are talking
20:58now about
21:0021 months
21:02of genocide
21:04against the
21:05Palestinian people,
21:06against more
21:07than 2 million
21:08people who are
21:08living in a
21:10small zone
21:11of Gaza Strip.
21:12we cannot
21:15describe the
21:16situation
21:16in the ground.
21:17It's lots
21:19of bombing
21:19around the hour,
21:21lots of
21:22air strike,
21:23Israeli air strike,
21:24targeting
21:25schools,
21:26tents,
21:28residential
21:28buildings,
21:30hospitals,
21:32even people
21:33who are walking
21:34in the streets
21:34or even people
21:36who are staying
21:37in cafes
21:38or restaurants.
21:41Regarding the
21:42starvation,
21:43it's more than
21:44three months
21:44now and
21:45the Palestinian
21:47people who are
21:47living inside
21:48Gaza,
21:49they are starving
21:50from the lack
21:50of food.
21:51People are going
21:52to humanitarian
21:53aid sites
21:55to get some
21:56parcel of food
21:57where they are
21:58being shot
21:59by the
22:00Israeli army
22:02and no one
22:04can rescue
22:04them from there.
22:06Types of killing
22:07around the hour
22:08against the
22:09Palestinians,
22:10against children,
22:11against women,
22:12against old,
22:13elderly people,
22:14hospitals,
22:17medical centers,
22:18they are running
22:18out from
22:19medical supplies,
22:20they are running
22:21out from
22:21fuel.
22:22People,
22:23they are
22:23collapsing,
22:24they are walking
22:25in the street
22:25and they cannot
22:26move because
22:27they have
22:30become very weak.
22:31Personally,
22:31for myself,
22:32we are losing
22:33too much
22:37weight because
22:38of the
22:40starvation.
22:41We cannot
22:41eat it in
22:42our tents
22:45because of
22:46the heavy
22:47air strikes
22:47around the
22:48hour against
22:49the people.
22:51Right.
22:53Ghada,
22:53what are you
22:54surviving on?
22:54What is the
22:55food that is
22:56available to you?
22:57What are you
22:58actually eating?
22:59Because things
22:59are looking
23:00very, very
23:01bad on the
23:01ground.
23:02We are
23:06depending
23:06sometimes on
23:07rice and
23:08some kind
23:08of lentils
23:09and we have
23:10some popular
23:11food here
23:13called
23:13talafel.
23:14It's made
23:15from beans
23:18and all the
23:19time we are
23:20eating beans.
23:21The vegetables
23:23that we have
23:24already here,
23:25it's from the
23:26local production
23:27and it's very
23:27high prices
23:29and with little
23:29amount.
23:30no one can
23:30go and buy
23:31this amount.
23:33So we are
23:33talking about
23:34just canned
23:36food, lentils,
23:39rice, beans,
23:40that's all
23:41what we have.
23:42We don't have
23:43sugar or sweets.
23:45We don't have
23:46chocolate or
23:47even like we
23:47don't have any
23:49kind of juice.
23:50We are talking
23:51about the
23:52essential elements
23:56of food.
23:56It's not
23:57available.
24:00Right.
24:01Gada, you
24:01were talking
24:02about how
24:02little you
24:03have to eat
24:03but you're
24:04still going
24:04out there
24:05and performing
24:05your duty,
24:07reporting every
24:08day.
24:08How difficult
24:09has it been?
24:10How difficult
24:10has this personal
24:11journey been
24:12for you?
24:14Maybe you can
24:15see on my
24:16face.
24:16This is not
24:17my face.
24:18I'm losing
24:19too much weight.
24:19I lost for
24:20now almost 10
24:21kilos.
24:22And even my
24:23bones, my
24:24muscles, I
24:25cannot sometimes
24:26carry anything
24:27because I
24:28don't have
24:29enough food
24:30to continue
24:31to do my
24:32work.
24:33Even I have
24:34to walk to
24:34do my work
24:35or to do
24:35my robots
24:36during the
24:37day.
24:38Sometimes I
24:39don't have
24:39a way of
24:41transportation
24:42to go because
24:43you know the
24:44fuel is, we
24:46have shortage in
24:46fuel here and
24:47taxis or cars,
24:49they are using
24:49the fuel all
24:50the time.
24:51So I have to
24:52walk.
24:53Sometimes it
24:53needs me like
24:54one hour to
24:55go for my
24:57office, which
24:58needs sometimes
24:5910 minutes
25:01because it
25:02takes me too
25:02much to walk
25:03under the
25:04sun heat.
25:05But still, I
25:07can have like
25:08small pieces of
25:09sandwiches, which
25:11is, as I told
25:12you, it's a
25:12popular food here
25:14in Gaza, made
25:15from lentils, from
25:17beans, which is
25:18unhealthy.
25:19But I have to
25:20eat it just to
25:21give me some
25:22energy, to give
25:23me the ability
25:25to go and
25:26to work.
25:26Sometimes I
25:27sleep hungry.
25:31Sometimes I
25:32don't have this
25:35kind of food
25:35because I feel
25:37my stomach is
25:38refusing this
25:39kind of food,
25:39which is unhealthy.
25:41So sometimes I
25:42sleep without
25:43eating.
25:44I'm just
25:45drinking some
25:45water to
25:46stay alive.
25:49Gadha Alkut,
25:50thank you so
25:50much for joining
25:51us and sharing
25:52your experience
25:53with us.
25:54We only hope
25:55and pray that
25:56things become
25:57or go back to
25:58as they were
25:59before.
26:00Thank you for
26:01your courage,
26:01for reporting,
26:02continuing to
26:03report, despite
26:04and in spite of
26:05all these
26:05adversities.
26:06But it is
26:07heartbreaking to
26:08see your
26:09personal story as
26:10also what's
26:10happening in
26:11Gaza.
