00:00Yeah, no, I certainly believe that we are leaving spots open for them, but in a responsible way, you know, we're not going to leave spots open for players that aren't quite ready for it.
00:14Just like last year, we had a busy free agency last summer because we didn't feel that all these younger players were ready.
00:23One, maybe they weren't even in pro hockey yet, but, you know, it wasn't responsible for us to force or expect them to take on that workload at the NHL roster at that time.
00:35I believe we're in a different spot this year.
00:38Another year of development and another year of physical growth for some of these players has left them in a spot where we believe they are ready to, you know, in many cases, take an NHL roster spot.
00:51And, you know, that doesn't mean that they're all going to get one.
00:55You know, we've got a lot of really exciting young players and not enough spots for all of them.
01:01And so they're going to have to compete with each other.
01:03They're going to have to compete with some veterans as well, and they're going to have to earn those spots.
01:07But there certainly are more roster spots available for the taking for our young players that this time around we do feel are ready to step in and impact the NHL roster.
01:17And so that's exciting. That's a step that we're taking in our rebuild that we weren't prepared to do in the past.
01:23And that's kind of the moving forward that you want to see in something like this is that progress of the young players that we've drafted.
01:33They've developed and to the point where they're ready to start, you know, impacting and, you know, making their way into the NHL.
01:42And so I think we're going to see that this fall.
