00:00Hey it's Adrian and if you've been curious or interested in bone conduction headphones but you
00:05don't want to spend too much you have to check out these Senag B21s bone connection headphones.
00:10They're extremely lightweight and comfortable, they have an IPX5 rating for wet conditions,
00:15really long battery life over 10 hours, 13 millimeter drivers, a 33 feet or 10 meter range,
00:21and actually pretty decent sound quality especially for bone conducting headphones. So let's take a
00:26closer look to see if these could be your very next pair and a big thanks to Senag for setting
00:30these up for review. In the box we have the Senag B21s bone conduction headphones along with a manual
00:38QR code to download the app and a USB Type-A to Type-C charging cable. And this is what the B21s
00:45bone conduction headphones look like. Now this is extremely lightweight, only coming in at around
00:5121 grams so you'll barely know or feel like it's there. And for the most part it's an all plastic
00:57build that's why it's so lightweight. And then we actually have this kind of memory wire in the
01:02back here so it's a titanium alloy memory band to retain the shape. So you can see I can just go ahead
01:08and curve it and it's just going to snap right back into place. So you can basically twist this any
01:13which way you want. There's physical buttons to actually change the volume up and down or to skip
01:18and advanced tracks and these have tactile button press. Next to the buttons we have the USB Type-C
01:24charging port that's covered with a rubber type of seal so if I remove that out of the way we have
01:30the USB Type-C charging port so you can use any type of charging cable. And then just make sure you
01:34actually close this back because this does have an IPX5 rating meaning you'll be able to use this you
01:40know for workouts whether you're sweating in the rain without any type of issues. On the other side we
01:45have the Senag logo and then we have the headphone units themselves. So there's a 13 millimeter driver
01:51in each of these and if we take a look at the inside here there's this very soft silicone type
01:56of pad let me do a side view and this is what's going to actually rest against your skin so this
02:01should be very comfortable and I'll let you know how comfortable it is. There's a 160 milliamp hour
02:06battery on here which is rated for up to 10 hours of playtime. Here's a quick look at the specs feel
02:11free to pause or jump ahead to the next section. To pair the headphones to your phone you'll press and
02:16hold the volume up button which also doubles as the power button so hold it for about three seconds
02:21and you should see this flashing LED indicator like right there. I'll hit scan on my phone and I'll wait
02:27for it to pop up here so it'll be the Senag B21s and I could see it right there so B21s
02:34hit pair
02:40so it's now connected for calls and audio and it's fully charged at 100%. I've added the Senaga headphones
02:47to the app after pairing it by bluetooth so I can see it's at 97% battery life. I'll just tap into
02:53to see the full settings so there we go again so 97% battery. From here we can also change the volume up
02:59or down advanced tracks play pause and then we have some equalizer settings here so you can go rock,
03:05ultrasonic, pop, classic, lyric, soft. So there's no options for custom EQs but you do have preset ones
03:11and there doesn't seem to be a way to remap any of these so it's pretty much hard coded. A couple
03:17neat things to note is if you go in the sleep tab you can just kind of have this background ambient noise
03:23playing you know just have something nice and relaxing if you want to de-stress. There's also an AI
03:28tab right here and then you could just chat with the AI it uses various models but if I use say this
03:34intelligent voice chat here what is 21 celsius to fahrenheit?
03:44So when I use this feature it actually provides me the answer in Mandarin you guys can't hear that
03:50but it's not in English now if I use the chat here then it does provide the answers in English
03:57so you know that's something that you know may be a kind of a beta feature it does say it's new.
04:03Now if I go under my profile and I go under language settings it is currently set to English these are
04:09the other languages so yeah the AI thing is not something I'm going to see myself using a lot anyway
04:15but it is there if you want to play around. The button controls are really easy to use so if I do a quick
04:20press on volume down it's going to decrease the volume just like so and then pressing volume up will just
04:25increase it. Now if I long press on the volume down it's going to go to the previous track
04:31and then if I go ahead and long press on volume up it's going to go ahead to the next track. Now if
04:37you ever want to pause and resume playback you would just double click on the plus icon just like so to
04:44pause or resume playback and you can only do that on the plus one not the minus and then whenever you want
04:49to turn the headphones off completely you would just press and hold for a little bit of time and
04:54then it's just going to power them off completely. All right let's talk about sound now these are my
04:58first bone connection headphones and I really didn't expect these to sound as good as they do. So they
05:04have 13 millimeter drivers and we have the AAC and SBC codecs so none of the really high-res codecs. However
05:12if you have the correct expectations meaning you know you're prioritizing comfort and you know kind of
05:16fitment long battery life then the sound that these provide is actually pretty good. So I mostly use
05:22the SSQVP equalizer which is the default equalizer in the Sanag app and then there's an ultrasonic pop
05:29equalizer. So I went between those two and I kind of prefer the ultrasonic pop equalizer. It was just
05:34the best bounce. The other equalizers I found that anytime there was you know a lot of bass in a song
05:39it would actually vibrate enough where it was kind of like a disconcerting feeling. I didn't like the
05:43feeling of the vibration but ultrasonic pop EQ and the SSQVP EQs sounded really good without you know
05:51kind of taking me out of the listening experience. So vocals actually came through really nice and
05:56really clear on these and I really didn't feel like I was missing out on much and if I compare them to
06:01the open style earbuds that kind of clip onto your ear these are not that far behind and I actually wore
06:07these for you know long parts of the day thanks to the long battery life and I really didn't feel like
06:11hey you know I should switch to something with better audio fidelity like this was perfectly fine
06:16just for the convenience and comfort. Now the area where you may feel these are lacking a bit especially
06:21if you don't use some of the other equalizers is bass. Yes you can feel that there's bass in the song
06:26you can feel it come through but the fact that it actually kind of vibrates or rattles a little bit
06:32when that comes on I really couldn't get used to that feeling which is why I stuck to the previous two
06:37equalizers so I would say the bass performance is you know average when using those EQs but if you
06:42can handle you know the kind of vibration yes you can feel the bass more prominently. So yeah you're
06:48not going to get the highest audio fidelity but if you have correct expectations I think you'll be
06:53plenty happy with the sound coming out of these and because it's not in your ear canal there's no
06:57ear canal fatigue you don't feel like anything is stretched out and you'll always be aware of your
07:01surroundings especially in situations where that really matters. Now I do like to listen to music
07:06really loud maybe louder than a lot of other people and if I crank these to the loudest volume
07:11they get loud but if you're in a very noisy environment you're going to hear what's coming
07:15through on the headphones plus whatever's there you know kind of ambient noise because your ear
07:20canal is not you know blocked or occluded in any way it's just completely open so you're kind of
07:25getting you know both worlds whatever you're listening to plus whatever's going on just something
07:29to be mindful of. The battery life on these is rated for up to 10 hours now I'm not sure
07:34based on what volume level but when I listen to these I'm usually working indoors I listen at around
07:40you know say 50 volume and I easily surpassed the 10 hour mark like I was getting close to you know
07:4615 16 hours so battery life phenomenal on these and whenever the battery life does go down it's only
07:52like a little over an hour to fully charge these back up so in environments like you know a busy
08:05coffee shop or a restaurant these are really not going to be heard by most people even if you listen
08:10at 70 to 80 percent I would say but if you're in a very quiet place like a library yeah probably just
08:15keep it around you know 50 60 percent here's an example of what audio sounds like from the
08:20microphones on the Senac B21s phone connection headphones I'm in a very quiet room with basically
08:27no ambient noise I'm not going to play simulated background noise from a busy coffee shop to see
08:31how well the microphones handle it here's an example of what audio sounds like from the microphone on
08:38the Senac B21s phone connection headphones in a very noisy environment so these do a fantastic job
08:45canceling out a lot of background noise and I've used these on a handful of calls and I didn't have
08:49any issues with you know the voice sounding far away or distorted now comfort is where these really
08:54shine so you could wear these with glasses on like I am right now and there's no problems at all
08:59these are easily all-day wear headphones they're very lightweight coming in at only around 21 grams
09:05which is impressive the other benefit I noticed with these is like if I was to wear earbuds and I lay
09:10down on my side you know the earbuds push into your ear canal it's very uncomfortable you're kind
09:15of rotating your head at an angle with these if I lay down on the side because it's so flat against my
09:20face it's really not very uncomfortable like I can actually lay down on the side watch something
09:25on my phone no problem the only thing is if you lay you know like on your back you know stomach
09:30side up then the band is just gonna push forward that's something you can't really get away from
09:35but the earbuds would get rid of that problem so you kind of have to decide if you're someone who's
09:40normally on your side these are perfect if you're on your back not so perfect so yeah the Sanag b21s
09:46bone connection headphones have been seriously impressive I didn't expect to like these as much
09:51as I do now I've reviewed a bunch of traditional earbuds you know the open saw clip style the in-ear canal
09:57ones these are definitely the most comfortable of course due to the fitment the design and these also
10:02have amazing battery life on them and again because I kind of lay down on my sides in bed
10:07these just press really nicely against there they're not pressing into my air canal they're
10:11just super comfortable and if you have the right expectations knowing that yes these are not sitting
10:16in your air canal so you're gonna hear the outside world and that awareness sometimes really matters
10:20you know I see people driving with earbuds in their ear like if they have ANC how would you hear if there's
10:25like an ambulance or something these you can actually listen to music and be fully aware of your
10:30surroundings and the trade-off like in terms of the sound quality that's an easy trade-off to make
10:34it sounds pretty good so if you're interested in picking up the Sanag b21s bone connection headphones
10:41I'm gonna leave links down below and it also comes in other colors as well however if you think you'd
10:45like something a little bit more traditional check out this playlist here or whatever video is linked
10:50here because I review a bunch of other earbuds headphones whether it's you know clip-on style semi in-ear
10:55full in-ear I'm sure you'll find something you like I have a huge favor to ask if you found this
11:00video helpful would you mind liking and subscribing it really does help me out quite a bit as a small
11:05growing channel and I really do appreciate it and maybe consider checking out some of my other tech
11:09reviews aside from headphones and earbuds I'll review mechanical keyboards laptops monitors mice
11:15really something for everyone and I really hope you'll join me in my next video soon
