Tinkercad is a powerful yet beginner-friendly 3D design and modeling tool ideal for makers, students, and educators. In this course, you’ll learn how to create stunning 3D models using Tinkercad’s simple, intuitive interface. From building basic shapes and designing prototypes to exporting files for 3D printing, you’ll discover how to bring your ideas to life in a virtual workspace quickly and creatively.

In this video lesson, we’ll discuss about Using Codeblocks in Tinkercad

00:00So what you can also do inside of Tinkercad is design by using code blocks. So over here in the
00:11home page, you can see that create your first code block design is an option right here. So
00:16once I go ahead and click, it'll actually open up the code block right here. For example, you
00:22can see that I got blocks like box right here, just like this. So I'm going to say add box of,
00:27let's say, green color right here. Then you can go ahead and then add in, let's say, for example,
00:34repeat, let's say, for example. So over here, I'm going to add the box, let's say, for example,
00:4010 times right here. But I'm just going to go ahead and then move this out as well. So I'm just going
00:45to go around over here and then move this. So I'm just going to go around over here onto control.
00:51And you can see that this is what you have as well and everything else. So let's create a new object
00:57right here and so forth as well. So now I'm simply going to go around over here onto modify
01:03and then go around onto move right here, just like this. And let's say this is going to be,
01:09let's say, for example, seven units right here. So now if I were to go ahead and play right here,
01:14then you can see that it actually goes ahead and creates blocks 10 times and moves it out right here.
01:20And this is how you can actually go ahead and work around with the code blocks that you have right here.
01:25Let me just go ahead onto, let's say, for example, move right here. So I'm just going to go ahead and
01:32then delete out the move right here. So this is repeat 10 times and so forth. So I'm just going to
01:37go around and add in more repeat right here, like to repeat and so forth. And then I can go ahead and
01:43add in code blocks like this as well. So let's just go ahead and delete this and then go around over
01:49here and then add a cylinder. And then I'm going to go ahead and move this out right here. So I'm just
01:55going to go around over here. And then let's say, for example, utilize the control and then there's
02:02create new object, as you can see right here. So let's just go around on to move on the top.
02:07And then this is going to be three axis on the Y and 10 axis on the X side right here, just like this.
02:14And if I were to press the play button, you can see that that is what you have right here. So it's
02:19repeating two times and it's creating this as you can see right here. So you can also go ahead and add
02:26in rotate right here, let's say, for example, and then it actually rotates it out as well. And this is
02:31how you can actually go ahead and create 3D models by using code blocks as well and using repetitive
02:38methods. So I hope you found this video useful. So be sure to comment on what you think about it.
