00:03Partnerships, Share Goals and Unwavering Commitment
00:06Give a big round of applause to all our strategy partners for their trust and continuous support
00:11What did you mention about expanding the programmes similar to other states?
00:17One of the things that we have done in the Ministry of Digital is that we have actually gone around the country
00:22all the states to look at initiatives that they have
00:25and we find that most of the states are actually already doing a lot when it comes to helping digitalise industries
00:34looking at digital platforms and so on and so forth
00:36So at national level we have MDAC, Slango, we have CDAC, Benang they also have organizations
00:42So what we are trying to do is trying to get all of them to work together
00:45so that you can see a larger scaling process
00:49In other words we are able to connect more people onto these platforms
00:53and then we will see what we call greater participation
00:56and of course larger benefits as a result
00:59So that's one of the initiatives that we are looking at
01:01and this is something that I have told MDAC to look into
01:03They are currently in touch with all the states
01:05Whenever we go to the states we meet up with them as well
01:07Every state has got different strengths
01:10depending on the nature of what the state does
01:13So I think ultimately as we go along
01:16if we are able to bring all of them into one platform
01:18then we are going to see what we call a lot more strength
01:22in how it is we develop platforms as we go along
01:24and that ultimately is going to benefit everyone
01:26what you call who is involved in the ecosystem
01:29So do you have any questions in response to the program?
01:34Which program?
01:35Do you have any questions in the current?
01:36Yeah, I mean currently I was in Penang
01:38Penang is definitely actively involved
01:41Selangor is definitely actively involved
01:42I must also take the opportunity to
01:44Webian Zeehan is here
01:45Very active ex-co
01:47has done a lot in terms of marketing Selangor
01:52not just in Malaysia
01:53not just regionally but globally
01:55So we have got Selangor
01:58I was in Sabah recently, Sarawak
01:59So yes, definitely the states have shown positive response
02:02I think this is something that benefits everyone
02:03it strengthens the ecosystem nationally
02:10So that's what we want
02:11Any collaboration with CEDEC and MDEC
02:14to the those who can be interested to launch this program?
02:19Say that again?
02:21Any collaboration with CEDEC and MDEC to collaborate?
02:24Definitely, that's why I'm here today
02:25because we work together
02:27and I think that's something that we want to further encourage
02:31To me, what is important is to look at what platforms already exist
02:36organizations that already exist
02:38and how it is we can pull all our strengths together
02:40and build further therefrom
02:41rather than recreating the wheel
02:42I think that's what's important
02:44Digitalization is happening across the world
02:47and technology is advancing very quickly
02:50so what we need to do is move fast
02:51and one of the ways by which we can move fast
02:54is if we actually are able to identify assets
02:56that we have around the country
02:57and find ways by which they can collaborate with us
03:00and move forward
03:02and that's what the Ministry of Digital is doing
03:04Any update on National AI Regulatory Framework?
03:09Not yet, as I keep saying
03:10they are supposed to give me the report
03:13and several meetings have been held
03:15once I get the report
03:16I'll table our findings and suggestions to cabinet
03:19and then of course
03:20depending on what cabinet has to say
03:21we will make a decision
03:22therefrom governance we need
03:25the question is what kind of governance
03:27whether it's going to be legislative
03:28whether it's going to be by way of just regulations
03:31or whether mere standards
03:32I think this is something that we need to think about very carefully
03:35ultimately technology provides us with great opportunities
03:38but there are also risks that we need to consider
03:41and I think once we are able to identify
03:43the different layers involved
03:45risks will present themselves
03:47but in very different ways across different technologies
03:52so how we deal with them is something that we need to think about
03:55Any tournament that we can expect?
03:57I hope to get something table
03:59if there is a need for us to table something in parliament
04:02I think there probably will be
04:03because I expect that there will be legislation
04:05to cover certain areas
04:07I hope to get that legislation in
04:10by the second half of next year
04:12Thank you
04:22Thank you
