MoUs signed to jointly cooperate on cybersecurity
Digital Minister Gobind Singh Deo witnessed a memorandum of understanding inked between Axiata Group Bhd, CyberSecurity Malaysia and the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation on Monday (Aug12).
The three parties will cooperate on cybersecurity and enhance the nation's digital resilience.

00:31in cyber security and resource sharing to identify cyber threats and collaborate to
00:37promote the development of international norms and standards in cyber security.
00:42This event represents this evening's commitment to building cyber resilience in Malaysia which
00:51benefits the local ecosystem and of course talent.
00:55Ladies and gentlemen, looking ahead, what we can achieve together is a cyber security
01:00ecosystem built on Malaysia's strong foundations of expertise, technology, capability and talent
01:08building.
01:09In addition to that, we are ensuring that the infrastructure that we offer to everyone
01:14is secure in terms of cyber security and most importantly we are also ensuring that
01:21this infrastructure that we have which is secure is infrastructure that people can use
01:26because we focus on building talent in this country to ensure that this infrastructure
01:33is put to its best use and of course for the benefit of the country.
01:37The government is committed to working with all parties and what we want to do is to create
01:42this more efficient, safer and resilient cyber ecosystem by enhancing national security,
01:49enhancing economic prosperity and of course focusing at the same time on social harmony
01:55for our economy and people.
01:58Among the areas of cyber security collaboration are joint consultations and cyber risk assessments
02:04involving collaborative reviews, combating malicious activities, addressing cross-border
02:09incidents and sharing best practices in cyber security governance and risk management.
02:14They also agreed to share intelligence and expertise in threat detection to increase
02:19the effectiveness of incident response and create a mutual platform to exchange insights
02:25and expertise vital to cyber security professional talent development programs.
