00:00Ultraviolet F77 Mach 2 Recon and Superstreet debut in Benelux, electric, exciting, and made
00:07for Europe. When we couldn't make it to the big reveal, our buddy Andrew Thijen from BMSE
00:12Motorijder jumped in to check out Ultraviolet's latest offerings in the Netherlands,
00:17the F77 Mach 2 Recon and the F77 Superstreet. Big shout out to Moto Mondo for making it all
00:25happen. Wait, Ultraviolet who? Yeah, we get it. You probably haven't heard of Ultraviolet yet,
00:32but trust us, you will. They're a tech-forward Indian company founded in 2016 by Narayan Subramaniam
00:39and Neeraj Rajmohan, and they've got one mission, redefine electric motorcycles. They're aiming for
00:46speed, style, and smart tech, and now they've got their eyes on Europe. Welcome to the Netherlands.
00:52Ultraviolet chose the peaceful village of Daphson in the Netherlands to debut their bikes for the
00:58Benelux and UK markets. The launch included the F77 Mach 2 Recon, already announced, and the surprise
01:05guests. The F77 Superstreet. Moto Mondo, their official distribution partner in Europe, will start
01:14delivering bikes in the Benelux and UK by late summer 2025. Get ready! Meet the F77.
01:22These bikes aren't just converted gas bikes with batteries slapped on. They're electric from the
01:27ground up. Built in India with aerospace-grade engineering by a team full of aeronautics nerds
01:32in the best way possible. Quick Specs
01:35Battery, 10.3 kWh. Peak Power, 30 kW, 40 hp. Torque, 100 Nm. Range, up to 231 km urban.
01:50Top Speed, 155 km per hour. 0-60 km per hour, 2.8 seconds. 0-100 km per hour, 7.0 seconds.
02:03Weight, 207 kg. Safety features. Bosch dual-channel ABS switchable. 10 levels of rag and braking.
02:15Traction control for modes. Dynamic stability control. Hill hold assist. 3 ride modes. Glide,
02:23combat, ballistic plus reverse. Tesla Energy, Indian style. Ultraviolet isn't shy about its ambition.
02:30The F77 comes packed with tech. An AI-powered system, over-there updates, crash alerts, remote
02:39diagnostics, theft protection, even digital license and insurance storage, all accessible via a slick
02:47smartphone app. Oh, and here's the kicker. It's a one-license compliant in some EU countries,
02:53which means in places like Belgium, you might be able to ride it with just a car license,
02:58under certain rules. The Netherlands is currently reviewing similar changes. Design that turns
03:04heads. The F77 looks like a futuristic sport bike, not some cheap commuter. There are clean lines,
03:12enclosed batteries and motors, and those funky fork covers. It reminds us of retro 80s bikes,
03:19think Honda CBR or Ducati Paso, but way more modern. The Super Street version gets taller,
03:25wider handlebars for comfort, while the Recon sticks with sportier clip-ons. Both share the
03:31same performance, so your choice comes down to riding style. Riding impressions. Getting started
03:38is simple. Key on, brake squeezed, tap the starter. The 5-inch TFT wakes up with slick animations and a
03:45cheerful jingle. And yes, there's a tiny Indian flag on the bars. Respect. Glide mode. Feels like a chill
03:54scooter ride. Silent, smooth, super city-friendly. Combat mode. Things get punchier. Strong throttle
04:03response, good acceleration. Handles really well. Comfy even for taller riders. Andrew is 1.80m and
04:11didn't feel cramped. Despite the 207kg weight, it feels lighter thanks to no rotating engine mass.
04:18Ballistic mode. This is where the fun really starts. No, it won't blow your socks off like a
04:25superbike, but with 100Nm torque, it pulls hard and fast. It hits 120kmh with ease, though we wouldn't
04:35complain if it had a bit more top-end bite. Not perfect yet. Mirrors are a bit too narrow for
04:41broader shoulders. Rear suspension feels a bit stiff on rough roads. Regan braking has 10 levels,
04:48but the difference isn't that noticeable. Two or three levels would probably be fine.
04:55More aggressive Regan would help for one-pedal city riding. On the plus side, no engine heat.
05:02Great news for summer rides. Let's hit the track. We wrapped up the test at a local kart track,
05:08where Andrew switched to the sportier Mach 2 Recon. Track riding on an electric? Heck yes.
05:15Stipped the lower modes and went straight to ballistic plus no Regan. The Mach 2 felt sharp,
05:21planted, and fast. With 0-60kmh in under 3 seconds and 100Nm of torque, it ripped around the corners
05:30with ease. Charging and range. Comes with a Type 6 connector. EU version with onboard charger
05:38expected in 2026. Single-phase charging. 20% to 80% in 2.5 hours. Optional luggage system with
05:48charger storage. Future-proof charging via Type 2 adapter, UV link, coming soon. In India,
05:55there's even a 60kW DC fast charger. Could we see that in Europe someday? Maybe. Battery is IP67 rated,
06:03built-in-house with parts from multiple suppliers. Battery warranty. 5 years per 100,000 km in Europe.
06:138 years per 800,000 km in India. Seriously impressive. Final thoughts.
06:20Ultraviolet is not just another EV brand. The F77 is well-built, good-looking, tech-savvy,
06:27and fun to ride. Whether you're carving twisties, cruising around town, or showing off futuristic
06:33vibes, the F77 delivers. It's technically A1 licensed, but feels more like an A2 machine.
06:41Not quite a highway bruiser, but it's got serious chops for city and spirited riding.
06:47Sure, it's not perfect. Mirrors, suspension, and charging needs some tweaks.
06:52But the core package? Solid. And with OTA updates, those improvements could come fast.
07:00Watch out, Europe. India just sent over something special.
