00:01A strong heat wave is sweeping across Europe.
00:05Temperatures are rising fast in many countries.
00:08In Germany, the heat reached nearly 40 degrees Celsius.
00:12Roads are cracking and trains are delayed.
00:16In France, Spain and Italy, people are finding it hard to stay cool.
00:21Some outdoor work has stopped.
00:23Sadly, a few people have died because of the heat.
00:27It's not the first estate with these temperatures.
00:31It becomes a fairly regular phenomenon.
00:35It's cold.
00:36Here in Rome, it's very, very humid.
00:39It makes this cold even more difficult.
00:42Obviously, in monitoring of our animals,
00:45from the state of geological order,
00:47they must check and check and check and check and check,
00:50that there is no sign of badness of animals.
00:53and to ensure, obviously, that there is a lot of good species here.
00:59But there is some good news.
01:02Cool winds from the Atlantic are coming.
01:04They may bring lower temperatures and some rain.
01:07At a zoo in Rome, animals are also feeling the heat.
01:12To help them stay cool, the staff gives them ice treats,
01:17like popsicles made of fruits and fish.
01:20In nature, animals lose time to try to eat.
01:25In other words, in an environment controlled,
01:28like in the biopark.
01:30The food is given to them by guardians,
01:32but in this case, they want to give them the way they should work.
01:36It means to ramp up, or to look inside a table,
01:39or to look inside where it is hidden, and so on.
01:43In this case, with the ghiaccioli.
01:45Monkeys, bears, and even hippos enjoy the treats.
01:49The zookeepers also check to make sure all animals have water and shade.
01:55Everyone, humans and animals, is trying to stay safe and cool.
02:01Thanks.
