00:00PKR Deputy President Nurul Iza Anwar says remaining silent does not mean that she has not been actively addressing the issues affecting Malaysia's Indian community.
00:11The former Permatang Pao MP said she had deliberately chosen to work behind the scenes, placing emphasis on meaningful results over public attention.
00:19In a speech read out by former Clang MP Charles Santiago, she said what mattered the most was not how loudly she spoke, but whether her work brought change to those who needed it the most.
00:32Nurul Iza said she had been working with a team over the past year to organize a series of expert-led roundtables focused on long-standing challenges faced by the Indian community, particularly those in the B40 group.
00:44Yesterday, Santiago said the upcoming 13th Malaysia Plan would provide a strategic opportunity for the government to address the marginalization of Malaysian Indians.
