A catastrophic explosion at the Sigachi Chemicals factory in Pashamylaram, Telangana, has claimed 42 lives and injured dozens. The blast, caused by a suspected pressure buildup in a spray dryer unit, led to the complete collapse of the pharmaceutical plant. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has announced a ₹1 crore compensation for each victim’s family, with additional aid for the injured.
DNA tests are being conducted to identify the charred remains of victims, most of whom were migrant workers. Rescue efforts continue amid calls for corporate accountability. The factory's operations have been halted, and a five-member committee has been formed to investigate the cause of the blast.
Stay tuned to Democratic News TV with anchor Shibnath for updates on rescue efforts, government action, and legal proceedings. This is one of Telangana's worst industrial disasters in recent history.
