00:00A massive explosion ripped through a defence ordnance factory in Jauhar Nagar in Pandhara

00:07district of Maharashtra on Friday, killing eight factory workers and injuring several

00:12others.

00:14The explosion was in a section of the factory where raw materials are used to make research

00:18and development explosive for the armed forces.

00:21The explosion also caused the roof of the factory to collapse, trapping workers under

00:26the debris.

00:27Rescue and medical teams were deployed to the site, together with excavators, to clear

00:31the rubble and search for survivors.

00:34As of Friday, five workers were rescued safely, while around 14 others were still reported

00:40to be trapped.

00:41Authorities are investigating the cause of the incident.
