Banihal (J&K), July 2 (ANI): Jammu and Kashmir's Deputy CM Surinder Chaudhary hopes to welcome Amarnath pilgrims in the state of Jammu and Kashmir from next year onwards. Talking to ANI, the minister said  "We will pray to Lord Bhola Shankar that next time we welcome these pilgrims to the state of J&K, not to a UT..." Jammu and Kashmir’s Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on July 2, 2025 flagged the first batch of Amarnath Pilgrims amid multilayer security. A batch of 5,892 pilgrims, including 1,115 women, 31 children and 16 transgender left the base camp in the first batch.
