Priyanka Chopra, in an exclusive interview with India Today, spoke about her role in the latest release, 'Heads of State'. The actor even spoke about female-driven roles in cinema.
00:00Priyanka, I want to speak to you a bit about how you sort of ripped apart that damsel in distress tag.
00:04You're either saving the world or the two most powerful people in the world or you're at it.
00:08And when it comes to action, I think you're unparalleled, right?
00:11Just speak to me about how liberating and fun it is for a woman to sort of save the two most important people on the planet.
00:16Well, I think that was Ilya's intention.
00:18And when he first spoke to me about the movie, like he thought that that was a really important part for him to have a woman at the helm of just the image.
00:31To me, the image of me at like my five foot seven, even with my heels on, you know, telling both of these guys to stay in their lane is just so funny.
00:40That was incentivizing for me to do the movie.
00:43I was just like, that's hilarious.
00:44But I think really emotionally for Ilya, for our director, it was really important.
00:49And this movie is helmed by a lot of men.
00:51But these are all like men who are feminists, who understand the value of, you know, creating a part like this, which come far and few in between.
01:00So I was very happy to be along on the ride, you know.
