00:00I know I will never let my grandfather down. That is my promise to my grandfather and I have nothing to worry about because I know my grandfather is watching from him. It's my mother and my father who are the most important people and if they have agreed, nobody else is anything to say. As a family, we're all together but professionally, it needs to its own.
00:23I would have definitely loved to work with my father and Inhena but unfortunately, my cha-cha is the hero of the movie so you don't expect the niece to act opposite the uncle so please don't be so unfair.
00:41Karishma, what role do Shashikapur, Rishikapur play in your life? Do you ask them for their advice where your career is concerned?
00:47As a family, we are together but professionally each to its own and it's not like that. I mean, my parents are the most important thing so I don't think it's my mother and my father who are the most important people and if they have agreed, nobody else is anything to say.
01:08As a family, we're all together but professionally each to its own. Everybody minds their own things.
01:14Since you've come from the RK family, the expectation is very high from you. How will you live up to it?
01:21Well, I know I will never let my grandfather down. That is my promise to my grandfather and I have nothing to worry about because I know my grandfather is watching from him.
01:31He's guiding me, he's watching and I know that I will live up to the expectations of the people. I know what I have to live up to.
01:41I have got it. I mean, sir. One case.
01:59Cut.
02:01Cut.
02:12I would have definately loved to work with my father and in Hena but unfortunately my cha cha is the hero of the movies so it's only obvious I can't walk up with the videos.
02:21It's only obvious I can't walk opposite him.
02:23I mean, don't make it out like that.
02:26My grandfather had chosen Chintu uncle.
02:30You don't expect the niece to act opposite the uncle.
02:36So please don't be so unfair.
02:38Did Raj Kapoor know about your ambition, about your inclination towards films?
02:43Definitely.
02:44In fact, he was my inspiration.
02:48He knew that I was going to become an actress.
02:51And I always told him and he always used to say,
02:54Lolo, baby, I know you will become.
02:56But I just want to tell you one thing.
02:58If you become an actress, you'll be the best. I'll always do it.
03:01He used to do this and tell me, you know.
03:04Generally, the girls in Raj Kapoor Khanda are not allowed to act.
03:08How did you...
03:09Well, I think it's out of their choice.
03:10After all, my whole family is full of actors and actresses.
03:13I mean, both my father and his brother have married heroines also.
03:17So if they could marry a heroine, why can't they work out?
03:21It's the same thing. It means the same thing.
03:23But then once they come into the family, they quit the profession.
03:25I don't know why everybody is under this illusion.
03:28In fact, my father encourages me now.
03:31And he always tells me, don't let the Kapoor name down.
03:35And he's the one who is very much behind me and I take his advice.
03:40We all sit together and discuss.
03:42It's nothing like that.
03:44I just want everybody to get this out of their mind.
03:48Whose advice do you value most? Your mother's or your father's?
03:51Both. Both definitely.
03:53I consult my father and I consult my mother.
03:56And they both mutually decide what is best for me.
03:59But who has a better say?

04:47And we did a small scene.
04:49It was very nice.
04:51The director is so nice, so sweet.
04:53He's excellent.
04:55And everybody made me feel very comfortable.
04:57That was the first time I'd ever faced a camera.
05:00I've never given a screen test to anybody.
